[DUTY] AAR 19 JULY YC 115 -- Unprovoked attacks on PFDC by Diana Kim of State Protectorate

To be fair to Diana Kim, I don't think she's lying.

Lying is to intentionally decieve and give false statement against what you know to be true.

Kim mistakenly believes what she says is true, I think the word you're looking for is confused... possibly deranged.

When your gut instincts tell you something is wrong, trust them. When your heart tells you something is right, ignore it, check with your brain first. Accept nothing, challenge everything.

I have offered my assistance to Diana Kim several times. It is discreete, it isn't some regimented program, it doesn't end up on some Caldari permanent record in indelible ink, and due to the religious vows of the Kingdom in which this training was done, it's even free.

There are few to zero mental health programs available for capsuleers, and yet people throw the idea around as if there are buildings constructed of handwavium on every planet and station for such a purpose. Go look them up in the NeoCom and notice how no results are returned. Allegedly thee used to be a corproation who provided mental health services to Capsuleers for a fee. Other than this passing reference I have heard or seen nothign of them and suspect they may not even still exist.

The different factions have their own ways of handling it. I used to conduct After Action Mass and the like in the Kingdom, and at times in the Empire while serving in the Navy. That sort of thing - a 'debriefing' in the framework that was required for the persons involved that took into account their beliefs so that it was understod as best as possible.

At this stage, as progressed as it has gotten, I am not sure what I can do that would have an effect with my level of training with cognitive therapy alone.

But again, I will say publicly, for now the third time.

Diana, if you want to talk, I am available.

"I say that even as the holy and the righteous cannot rise beyond the highest which is in each one of you - so the wicked and the weak cannot fall lower than the lowest which is in you also.  And as a single leaf turns not yellow but with the silent knowledge of the whole tree, so the wrong-doer cannot do wrong without the hidden will of you all."

The bigger crime is that Kim engaged a Kestrel and Heron in a Hookbill, and not only did she fail to kill those two ships - but she ended up losing the Hookbill in the process.

I don't think you're ready to enter the terrorist lifestyle, my dear Kim-guri. As the friendly neighborhood terrorist, my advice is that you really should consider going back to the State War Academy while you still can.

For a deranged brainwashed gallentean mind that, what I believe in, is not true, of course.

I engaged only one ship. Second one committed crime against me. I simply wasn't ready for treason from her side, and thus lost a ship.

Of course not, Mr. Davlos, I do not intend to join terrorists in any way. Terrorists are not professionals, and if you are one of them, I can say only one thing to you: I won't degrade myself to your level. Even being a State War Academy student is more professional than being a terrorist, Mr. Davlos.

I'm torn, Davlos. That Hookbill can be seen as incompetence, the Zealot and that associate's Falcon against the same ships, however, that's either massive incompetence or even more massive stupidity. I can't decide what's worse in that case.

You engaged Gesakaarin-haani under my very nose against CONCORD RoEs, therefore any retaliatory action was pure self-defence, not a crime in the eyes of CONCORD nor the State Protectorate. Should I idly stand by when you try to attack my kirjuun?

I think I'm going to contract a Kestral over to Diana Kim to replace the one she lost. To my knowledge, no capsuleer in our galaxy has caused this much excitement or so much ink to be spilled as Diana Kim. If it weren't for her the galaxy would be boring.

IT'S A HOOKBILL!

That alone ought to speak for itself. Are you sure that you actually graduated from any kind of basic military training? Failure on that level brooks no excuse and any drill instructor worth their salt would have torn you so many new assholes for making excuses of that kind that you would have been a writhing, bouncing attraction of the weirdest kind expelling fecal matter at all manners of angles at the petting zoo in any random pleasure hub in the Gallente Federation.

One does not need to be a "professional" to be a good pilot, Kim-guri. I look forward to meeting you in space, where I get to kick your ass so hard you'll need to move your bowels out of your bellybutton.

IT'S A FREAKING TERRORIST WHO THINKS HE KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT SPACE COMBAT
No, really.

I will pay you exorbitant amounts of money to destroy her in an extremely humiliating ship.

Like, say, a battle Venture.

More humiliating than losing a recon cruiser and a HAC to a Kestrel and a freaking Heron?

The Unassuming Heron is woefully underappreciated.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

As a longtime Ares pilot, I can so agree.
