Okay, so, there was a glitch of some kind and Monocle Madness accidentally paid out the winnings twice for one of their matches. Being the HonoUrable Space Faring Individual that I am, I let them know about the problem.

The result?

They said oops and:

Richard Galaxy > Feel free to claim payouts from last match gents, even if they're double.

Now that's pretty awesome. These guys are a class act.

As always this site is awesome. If your watching the tournaments and got some isk to spare, you should check them out, the matches becomes a lot more fun, hehe.

betting pools don't seem large enough for a tote system to work very well : /

Pool size doesn't really matter, you get a percentage of the odds on the pool. If the payout is 3x your money, you get 3x your money.

If the favorite is a clear favorite, then it's always going to be maxed out odds against the underdog.

Alliance Tournament XI is the third time I've used Monocle Madness for tournament betting. I've previously used them for the last 2 SCL tournaments as well.

I've never really done any betting before and was pleased to find out how easy and simple it was to get started. Just go to their site in the game browser create an account and then send ISK to their corporation wallet. The ISK is then deposited and you can place bets to your hearts content! There is a wallet import timer which you have to wait for but if you're ever in their channel you can tell them that you've made a deposit and they promptly credit you without having to wait for the wallet import. They have incredibly good customer service and seem to be very in touch with the community.

For anyone out there who follow these tournaments betting on them and being invested in the matches adds a new dimension that makes the overall tournament experience more fun. Especially chatting with fellow capsuleers who enjoy watching and cheering with or against certain teams along side you.

By some miracle I've managed to end up with positive winnings in the past 2 tournaments so I have to recommend this service to everyone out there!

I'm hoping my luck doesn't run out for this tournament.. although I had a bit of a shaky start when I went down nearly 100m Shocked but I'm now up around 30m Big smile. Next weekend can't come soon enough!

So if i bet 5bill when the odds are 1.5 , I will get 1.5 odds. or if the odds shift to 1.1 by the time betting closes i will get those odds?

If you are using the tote system like i think you, then your pools do matter quite alot. If you have low pools odds can be tanked majorly by minor 1bil bets.(most of your pools are less then 5b)
