This is what you get:

high taxes. high unemployment

The problem with irresponsible, unchecked liberalism is at some point you run out of other people's money.

Never ending circle jerk of stupidity propagated by the politicians and people of said city.....

Fixed it for ya as best as I could. Also, let's please keep our talk of pubies and daddy issues on xbox live where it belongs :P

edit: I'm of the opinion that whichever party you put in power will screw things up. Democrats, at least in America, like to spend money we don't have while Republicans would rather spoon with corrupt businesses. Am I covering both views semi-correctly?

No,

Both parties like to spend money we do not have. Both parties are cozy with business. Both parties are corrupt. Both parties like to start wars.

The difference between the parties is very small.

Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.  - William Pitt

Better and yes my response was very juvenile. I do not have another outlet for my juvenile responses to to other responses of the type, but I also realized it and slashed it. That being said Adunh above is much more in line with my thought process.

We do not need a paternalistic bureaucracy to monitor, direct, and flat out restrict private citizen's actions. We The People are perfectly suited at regulating ourselves and the business transactions between individuals and those that are not able to work within said structure quickly eliminate themselves from the cycle, as it should be. Although many are unwilling to self regulate that does not mean it should be done for them.
