let me guess tech 2 weapons with faction ammo?

well guess what I don't have tech 2 weapons and ammo at all and all I do is die die die. Tech 2 should just be removed from the game, it does nothing by penalise newer players.

Not really. It only takes a week to train for T2 Rockets and another week to train for T2 Light Missiles.

So the while your argument is valid that older players have the leg up, skillpoints =/= pilot skill. If you are properly fit and learn which fights to take and which to run away from, you'll be fine and killing things in no time. You'll still lose ships, but that is a part of PVP'ing in general.

Gentlemen, we have the technology to save him. Here's a couple of fits to train for since it looks like you like missiles:

RLML Caracal

Rocket Kestrel

and the ASB Hawk is pretty gnarly

why should I waste my time on them, they take 4 days and are only worth it on frigates, atleast light missiles can be used on cruisers as well with assault launchers.

If you started training them when you posted about it took sooo long. You would have had them trained already.

There you go. Now you know that it's more about shiptype/fittings (kiting condor vs rocket kestrel), and tactics (condor vs condor), than it is about raw SP and T2 weapons.

In future, less trolling and more questions with less whiny posts will see you go far in this game +1

If you don't plan on using frigates, what was the point in this thread?

I want to be economical with my skills points, but given how crap frigates seem to be a pvp I might give up on them and go to crusiers. As I've always suspected they are the only ships worth a damn in pvp.

some insist that only frigate pvp is real pvp. I find it very entertaining and more "skillbased" as the fights dont last as long and your decisions have a much faster impact. also, the margin for error is quiet small.

and proper flown frigates are always welcome . at least in the fleets I was in so far. scout, tackle, warpins, EWAR utility..

and once you can fly T2 frigates, a whole new world opens up on you.

be patient.

oh and one advice on saving time: pre-buy and prefit several frigates before you start your pvp day.
like 10-20 ....

decide on what frigate you want to fly, buy 20 of them, fit them all the same (get decent loadouts for your skills from
sites like battleclinic) and then start to lose them one at a time.

assess what you did wrong when you get killed. fly according to your skills and modules. and pick targets that are "doable"

eve takes time. dont expect to get pampered.

Interesting read, Paul Otichoda.

Unfortunately I just started analysing how you purposely misspell, and restrain yourself overly.

But that's just me being bored.

I feel your frustrations though and believe you will become a bitter veteran in no time at all.

Getting you on your feet.

So you've further to fall.

One more time (Hopefully you eventually learn to listen) you need to fly with friends - you have been told this before multiple times by multiple people.

Eve is an MMO - not a single player game. Stop trying to play it as one.

A few weeks flying with a good FC or pvpers and you will be fine.

As always you will ignore this but I will keep telling you to fly with friends just so that one day I can post 'I told you so' in one of your whine threads.

Listen to the squid P

What he says is true. You really need to fly with friends until you get a better grasp on pvp as a whole. Then, once you are more comfortable with pvp, dip your toes into solo.

Also, please for the love of god train a weapon system to T2.

I wear my goggles at night.

And once more you're just confirming that anything that is not tech 2 is useless and inferior. What the point of even giving us tech 1 launchers if their so bad. the answer is its another time sink of training to do before you can be competitive.

Ok so you ditch T2 and faction mods, what do you do once you have all you missile skills maxed out? Everyone will have exactly the same missile setups. Surely its better to have long term goals, where over time you get steady improvements. You cut your teeth on t1 gear against the belt rats, learn some tactics and how the mechanics work, a few weeks later you can fit t2 modules and ammo and you can go after some players. You will die, as you have only trained your missile skills and nothing else, if you expected to live you are playing the wrong game.

Dont get stressed about long skill training times, they always get there in the end. Also raw skills mean nothing, if you dont know how to use the equipment you have fitted. I have over 150 million skill points, I dont know how to fit a combat ship without spending hours working it out, and I still suck at PVP.

Everything in EVE is not available to you all at once as the learning cliff is steep enough.

Blaming the gear are we? Couldn't possibly be the pilot. It's all down to the difference in one module's meta.....

That alone confirms an utter lack of understanding the mechanics of the game to begin with. T2 is great, especially for non-weapon modules like tank. But it sure isn't a huge difference, especially considering their cost versus the T1 variant. Anyone harping on T2 weapons hasn't even looked at the numbers.

None of it matters. Given a billion isk T3, this guy would lose. The SP, the ships, the ammo and modules are all the last part of a PvP fight. Every fight this guy has lost was over before locks were even established. No amount of SP or shiny ship collection will ever change that. Purposely refusing to even try...well the results are as expected. Game is working as intended.

The mantra of "I demand to win despite sucking" is going to be a hard sell on Eve players. Especially when so many make it a point of pride to have gone thru the gauntlet of hard loss and persevered.

And oh yeah, WoW is swimming in the shallow end of the MMO pool. Saying Eve is nothing like WoW is the highest form of compliment you can give us.

Wrong. You can solo just fine if you are not a cretin.

Learning from others is important but you do not have to depend on others to enable your PVP.

Sure, as a soloer you face tougher odds and are more likely to lose your ships but this does not mean it isnt viable or rewarding. Stop being a risk averse coward and get out there alone and face a proper challenge for a change.
