I've train for missiles only so turrets are out of the question.

Cross training =P

doesn't take long

if you don't enjoy missiles you should probably start training guns now =D

missiles are great for pve, great range so low damage to you which means you have get low repair costs.

Yet I'm having no fun at all in pvp because everyone just cheats and uses tech 2 weapons and ammo on what ever ship they are flying and kills you in 5 seconds because they *******s and don't want a fair fight and then pod you.

How can anyone enjoy this kind of pvp? you can't

the only way to have any fun in pvp is to be in the bigger better ship or have someone in a bigger better ship. and anyone who says they started killing battleships on day 1 you are a liar or an alt of a 100m sp player. Either way your being untrue.

If trolling... 6/10.

If not... You are too new to fit a T2 rocket launcher yet comfortable making blanket statements about weapon systems and dismissing all but one ship class for PVP. Rockets are great for frigs (for reasons already stated) and there are a few rocket dessie fits worth looking at.

Basically there are only two possibilities here:

1) You lack the experience and SP to properly fly rocket fits.
2) Eve is horribly unbalanced and you're the only one who sees it.

As you cannot even fit the T2 variant, I suggest you hold off on your critique of rockets in general and through guilty association, all frigate class ships in the game.

Seriously mate...

Join RVB or EvE-Uni

not too be cruel but you don't know how eve pvp works yet and should probarly join a new player friendly corperation that will teach you the tricks and then you can take on T2 fitted ships with T1 fitting

Like.. ofc people use T2 stuff.. Because they trained for it... Just as your doing atm i hope. everything takes some tought in it and training you missiles skills for T2 rockets would help you a lot.

all in all... you need too learn it.

And once more you're just confirming that anything that is not tech 2 is useless and inferior. What the point of even giving us tech 1 launchers if their so bad. the answer is its another time sink of training to do before you can be competitive.

You can use faction ammo in T1 launchers if you insist on not training for T2. Tech 2 adds flexibility, not much else.

Edit: That said, the value of flexibility is not to be underestimated.

I'm not going to waste 1000ISK a shot on a ship that will die almost instantly considering that normal rockets are only 10.

I'm not going to put in the same effort and investment into my ships, my meta 0 fits should be equal in power to those people with tech 2!

I only have 50m ISK and I'm trying to build up my reserves. a fully equibmed pvp frigate is going to cost about 1m, 1000 faction rockets (my standard ammount I carry) is going to cost about 10m. Its stupid that I'm going to wast 10m on a fight I'm probadly going to lose anyway.

Yet 12% extra damage is good but not worth that kind of price for me.

I keep giving up on pvp because I keep getting beat so hard. Yet I keep coming back hoping I'll be better at it and then I get hit and then I die over and over. I get angery and go on here and just get beaten down by people like you and then I go back to mining and missioning. Atleast they are rewarding.

That would actaully be a good thing, removed the physical superiority of tech 2 weapons and ammo. keep the specialisation skills. That would atleast be kind of fair about things. then its more about personal and character skill instead of purely better numbers.

What on earth =P

You don't get it.

You can beat someone with t1 modules and t1 ammo
But beating someone that knows what too do compared too you ( probably driving into them screaming )

you won't learn anything with your mindset, ever...

If you want that go play CS:GO, mmorpgs have skill progressions for a REASON: they give you results for time invested. This game is designed in a way that older players have an advantage over newer players BUT (this is a HUGE butt, hi nicki minaj) the older player can only be better than the newer player in a specific ship.....................

UNTIL THE NEWER PLAYER GETS THE SAME SKILLS IN THAT PARTICULAR SHIP.

So HTFU, train t2 weapons (cmon 5 days for small weapons, stop being such a ***** about it) and live up to the fact you won't beat an experienced player in 1vs1 for a LONG ******* TIME, because not only do they have an SP advantage over you, they have an "I've done this thousands of times, whipper-snapper" advantage over you.

and you wonder why we only have 0.5m paided accounts?

whats the point of pvp if everyone else is going to better than you? Atleast other games have a skill brackets to ensure new players aren't wiped out by better players.

In WOW or any other RPGMMO you don't see level 100 beating up level 1s in the starting area.

I don't wonder why there's only 500,000 subscribers. I know exactly why EVE has that many: because this is a niche mmo that appeals to a particular area of the mmorpg market. It's not a theme-park, instant gratification monstrosity that appeals to the ages of 11-15. Nobody wants that here and CCP don't want it either and it's working for them since this game has grown EVERY YEAR since it's launch unlike 99% of other games.

The point of pvp is that you learn from it, so you can eventually be better than the people that beat you today. I know that you might think this is impossible because you're extremely narrow-minded and immature but it does happen.

Other games have skill brackets because they have tournament systems (lets take wow arena for example). There is no such pre-determined game mechanic here as this is a sandbox game (this means much of the game is created by the players themselves).

Yes you're right this isn't wow and a 200m sp vet can go and suicide gank 500k sp noobs fresh out of tutorials. How often does this happen? Almost never because there are CONSEQUENCES.

You went LOOKING for pvp, unprepared and unwilling to train and fit your ships so they are on par with the people you are fighting. What on earth did you ******* expect?

................AND THERE IT IS!!!! I am new to Eve and all that, but even I knew it was only a matter of time before someone tried the WoW vs. anythingelse argument.

Dear Lord dude.....Here's the thing. When I first played WoW I was blown away. It was great. I played that game for 4 or 5 years I think. But as I tried different games seeking the same satisfaction I got when I first started playing WoW, I discovered something. All the theme-park instant grat. games are all the same. SWTOR is WoW with lightsabers....no way around it. Rift is WoW in a different world. Tera is WoW with weird ass Asian anime (seriously how can you play a game where you can be a magic weilding playboy bunny that can't be any older than 14? and I mean the CHARACTER is 14 not the actual person behind the keyboard) The Secret World is more or less WoW but with guns and a little more freedom as far as building your char.

But they are all WoW nonetheless. You grind, you buy gear, you are teh same as everyone else. It's communism dude. It ain't no good.

This game, however, is different. It takes time to be good. It takes time to train your skills. And I promise you one thing dude, even if you had Tech 2 weapons on your ship, you would still lose. Because it takes time to learn tactics and how to fly and fight. Two ships with the same gear are not equal if one pilot knows how to play and the other doesn't.

Trust me dude. I just started FW and pvp last week. I came into FW space and found a good corp. I came in with a few ships, and about 90 mill in isk. A week later my record is 0-10. I am down to 2 mill isk. I suck. Horribly. But it isn't because I don't have tech 2 stuff.....some thiings I actually DO have tech 2 stuff. I lose because I haven't figured out how to properly fight yet. There are tactics and strategies you have to learn. It isn't just mindless button mashing.

You should probably go back to WoW if you won't accept that because that's just how it is. Like the other poster said, this game has 500k subs for a reason. You either like this game or you don't. There is no learning curve...it is a learning cliff.
