Subsystems on capitals brainstorm

I really have no idea how one would implement the idea of adding subsystems to capital ships... So I'm asking what people think.

The basis that can't be changed is that every capital has them (new and old) and that they can be targeted individually via targeting the main body first or by some other means.

I'm not going to try and invent a square wheel here so what do you all think?

How are you going to damage my engines without going through my shields and armour first?

I didn't think the idea was this absolutely terrible... but this is why I asked...

CCP... never put in target-able subsystems!

e-war does this.

Not in cycle you can use whatever you want on caps. Jam it, web it damp it...basically affect any system you want. In cycle...tough nut to crack but a nut not doing much of anything for quite a bit of time. Bring the right amount of dps for the job.

And like danika keeps saying....shield armor hull. You have to shoot through them.


Want shooting out of mods/subs play WOT. Its all fun and game until a hitboxing gold spamming jackass who can't do much else to you jsut keeps on tracking you like a little biyatch. Welcome to matchmaker with tier 5's in tier 9/10 matches. TBH...I was that little gold round tier 5 spamming biyatch myself. Felt bad about it though....not like I wanted to be dropped in match where 75% of the enemy could one shot me though. You do what you have to sometimes lol. Didn't use hitbox though...my hits were honest hits at least.
