I once heard that if You stand in front of a mirror, drunk, and You say her name and the name of the thread You want her to destroy ten times in a row, backwards ofc. she'll come out of the mirror, possess your body and crush the undesired thread. Big smile

EDIT: Ten times in a row, backwards and without drawing breath. That last part is important or it on't work.

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

Fighting back is more fun than not.

Epic post dude, pure awesomeness. My fav part was the hobbit being a lord of the rings sequel, but hey, whatever 'cause they're both based on wow anyways. I will remember that forever. Thank you.

More seriously tho, you kinda have a point. My warrior was much more challenging to fly than any of my eve ships. Sad but true. But that was vanilla. Maybe they've fixed that now.

This could totally revivisect Eve Online! New faction avatars, skills and ships would enable the devs to expand their repertoire and new players would come flooding in, vets would get whole new decade of gameplay out of it, and it might even prove the way for vampire's from the masquerade to one day enter New Eden.

he said revivisect.......

I was already laughing but that made me snort beer out through my nose.... my poor keyboard.

Spelljammer!
Not very successful, iirc.

But then again, I would give anything to have these in Eve Online.

1) EVE is not, and can not be, WoW.

2) If you want to play a theme-park, then go do so.

3) Your post, reading it was painful.

Your troll-rating for today:

4/10.

Next!

Seriously now, people:

I don't understand why so many in this thread are calling this a good troll?

This is just...so utterly pitiful, in the same revolting-but-can't-look-away-from way that a stepped-on bug that still tries to drag itself along with half its body crushed to pulp and a trail of guts dragging behind it is pitiful. My rating above is being generous, if I may say so myself.

Star Wars: the Old Republic may not be EVE. But I'll take the sound of dual blaster-pistols over "NURVV CLAOKING NAOW!!!11oneone!!" any day of the week.

Cross EVE with WoW and you get spaceships looking like comic figures. X

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

Why, not? WoW already has the EvE in Azeroth.

Loving these threads, because it shows one thing clear in EvE: the gameplay is so boring that WoW *is* the only thing left to talk about (since the forum threads are repeating or thriving on necros).

But have fun guys. Remember "Time is money, friend" (just don't spend it all in one place!).

You trek across the frozen wastes and head towards the fabled city of KnobbleThorn. Your faction with the guards of KnobbleThorn allow you access under the mighty wooden gates glistening with perma-frost.

You dismount off your Battle Badger and cross the zone line...

Moment later you appear in a majestic hall, behind you snow falls over the threshold but you're looking around at the incredible architecture. Would would have built an entrance chamber so high.

After tying up the Battle Badger you turn towards the vast distance to the far corner towards the towering archway into the main corridors of KnobbleThorn itself. Leaving your beast in the care of the Janitors you set off towards the archway.

It's locked.

But fantasy is really just sci-fi only set in the past, isn't it?

Look at Star War's (a famous old science fiction movie from the 60s). In that, the hero lives on a farm, and he has to go on a quest to rescue a princess from a sort of castle. Only the castle is in space. But he does meet a kind of Gamdarlf character who teaches him magic, called Old Ben Kobi, except its called the Force and its explained in the remake of 2002 that its actually a technology called Mitochondria.

But anyway, sci-fi was called fantasy before the age of space, and the famous scifi author Arthur G Clarke once said 'one mans magic is another mans technology', so whose to say the two can't live in peace together in New Eden.

Maybe CCP could introduct some kind of special power that would work like Magic but be powered by power crystals or something. Remember, we can't call it magic anyway because Gary Gygax has the trademark for that I think. But we can change the spelling a bit. Magyk, maybe. Or something gormpletely different, like 'star-voodoo' or 'cosmauturgy' or similar.

The monstroids voodoo levels would be low of course, but the Gelfs would have advantage's here.

I think it would be cool, if we had more 'alien type' beings rather than everyone looking human!

Sci-Fi is fantasy in space.

If you wanted a space sim that truly mimicked science you'd be bored to death. The space you'll even see isn't beautiful Hubble false color images, it's a pretty dull gray world (as the only light humans can see is the visible light spectrum -- and the most beautiful false colors are beyond what our eyes can actually see...like the Oxygen III and Hydrogen-Alpha photo filters can highlight).

And in space fighting Buck Rogers style would be a worthless adventure. Waste of resources for "fun" when, for example, for NASA every ounce of material moved is worth $$$$$$...every ounce...and you have to carry it, as resources don't just magically appear.

PvP in space IS science nonsense.

So enjoy your space opera!
