Who got the killmail?

Could we please make it so that the killmail is in every characters sheet of those who contributed to the kill?

And now that logoff timers persist in different systems, shouldn't people shooting a ship on one side go on the killmail if the ship is killed on the other side shortly after?

while (CurrentSelectedTarget.Status == ShipStatus.Alive) {

     _myShip.FireAllGuns(CurrentSelectedTarget);

}

+1 for everyone getting the kill in their combat logs, not just the "final blow pilot".

+1 for this. I hate never seeing a killmail for a ship I blow up.

no, if you cant jump and the target can and he is finnished by others you not on the mail deal with it. you need to be in system thats how it is and that is fine

You think so? It also used to be that you could kill someone in one system and jump to another and log off safely, and that was fine too. I think if we get the one, we get the other, really. It's a bit annoying when you take a ship down to 10% structure on one side, and the guys on the other finish him off, and you have a killmail with a triple 1600 plate trimarked battleship taking 800 damage.

If you get someone to jump into a gate by shooting at him you should have the kill mail yes

i'm sorry but i disagree,

you took part of the killing, by lowering is hp pool, by "forcing" him to jump in your fleet arms etc... so you took part in the killing, you should also appear on the mail.

and this would prevent the crazy killmails where a strat got killed by a single volley from a drake etc....

also +1 to OP, long overdue

It's not as if it's hard to find mails after the fact and API linking does wonders for keeping track of things. Let the computer do what it does well which in this case is handling the mindless task of posting mails. Also I'm not sure here but wouldn't sending the mail to everyone on it increase the demand on the server and thereby worsen any TiDi that might be in effect? You lot probably know more about it than I do seeing as I don't do the fleet thing.

As for never seeing kills in your combat log you could always drop fleet...

Reality has an almost infinite capacity to resist oversimplification.

It's stupid to punish those who do the most damage and force the target to jump out, only to be excluded from the kill by their aggression timer.

For a game that is advertised mostly with its exciting pvp, the whole kill report stuff gets way too little attention. Every crappy singleplayer RPG has a ton of stupid achievements that can be unlocked, but in EVE where such things actually matter, the kill reports are often totally inaccurate.

It would also be cool if more things were recorded, like who had first point on the victim. Now that would be something for the hero tacklers who typically do little damage but are the ones who make kills possible in the first place.

You're assuming that the killmail will get posted. Sometimes this is not true.

Take FW for example. Some pilots there don't even know that killmails exist and, if they aren't in your corp, you could have some difficulty teaching them how to post one.

As for server load, I have no objection to the killmail being delayed till downtime if that's what it takes to keep things running smoothly.

Not before they rework the Killlog. Finding specific Kills is a Pain in the ass.
One should be able to apply filters like battleship, cruiser etc.

My Condor costs less than that module!
