If people complain about this then they obviously haven't played EVE before the new downtime times.

It used to be an hour before.

I don't understand how one day it can be 5 minutes and the next can be over 30. They must run the same scripts / processes every time and if it's a build up of a file that needs to be deleted and the size varies then why can't they reprogram EVE so it doesn't need to build up files and can clean out more obsolete data while the server is up?

weekends are well known for CCP been lax in getting TQ back up, less staff in means less staff to notice someone hasnt done their job.

It does very and flux sometimes. CCP never said downtime is always 30 minuites, they said typically 30 minuites.

Sometimes it can take time and the servers go a little slow and sometimes take up to an hour, but taking up to an hour isn't usual.

Bah this is nothing, back in '04 we used to have downtimes of an hour at least and then we would be lucky our nodes would load. You whipper snappers moan over nothing!

Bah !!!

Back in 1923 we had to hitch up the horses and cart in -40 winter to go 60 miles to get to school in rural Montana. Our Internet connection then was only 300 baud...

Everyone is always repeating the mantra "Don't Trust Anyone" ad nauseum... If I can't trust the guys I play with, why bother playing with them at all? Fly Solo...
