Death Star kills planets and moons. Maybe they even can use it to shoot stations and outposts.
on the other hand our doomsdays only shoot to capitals so Death Star would be invulnerable.

I predict empty space without markets, docks, cloning facilities.... then Eve Online will die finally Shocked

Borg aren't resistant to projectiles. DU ammo sales rise 400%.

To do any damage inside our shiss they'd need to

A) kill our shields

B) (assuming they even make it past the shields) get past our newly acquired dust bunny space marines (I guess a one mile long battleship can carry a few thousand of them at once).

They're welcome to try for all I care...

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

Have you noticed they never wear environment suits on away missions? All we have to do is vent the atmosphere (not like we need it) and they're screwed.

Additional thoughts:
- Federation shields can't withstand two volleys of phaser fire. The Enterprise would probably lose embarrassingly to an Omen or two.
- The Caldari can simply pay off the Ferengi.
- Romulan cloaks got nothing on instalock interceptors and Tornado fleets.
- Klingons would try to WARRIORHONOURCHARGE a fleet of blaster Megathrons and lose embarrassingly.
- Borg have the aforementioned projectile weakness.
- Federation morals would result in them trying to negotiate for the freedom of the slaves running Amarr ships. This would end badly.

On Star Wars:
- Star Destroyers lack tracking, and are obviously capitals so can be Doomsday'd.
- Snubfighters are hilariously inferior to drones, and are vulnerable to missiles. And ramming.
- Boarding parties, while dangerous, stand no chance of getting aboard.
- Gungans.
- Star Wars shields are even less effective than Star Trek. Wouldn't even need EMP ammo.

EVE has a 50 minute window of opportunity. Everyone who has ever watched a Star Trek episode knows that the *technobabble fluctuations* cause transporter/scanner/shield malfunctions that take about 50 minutes to be solved (including commercial breaks).

Luckily for us, should our plan not succeed within 50 minutes we can just claim to surrender, switch from armor to shield fleet so *technobabble fluctuations* strike again and have another go.

Making New Eden a better place 8 rounds of Void at a time.

Funny, smartest, pretty and relevant. Pick 3.

I know Amarr use lasers. They're just the closest thing to phasers we have. In reality the Enterprise would get shredded by any of our weapons systems; I just wanted the parallel.

But theyre lasers... Lasers wouldn't even penetrate the navigational shields... Lasers, whether they are in the EvE universe or Star Trek universe are still lasers...doesnt matter what kind, the amarr would be bitchslapped...

Yeah, but that's more a question of how much energy You can throw at them. Preferably in one volley.

It's really not about lasers in generall, even if it wasn't mentioned in that scene.

Stick X-Ray crystals in the lasers and waltz on through. I'm watching through TNG (again) now; I recall seeing an episode recently where their systems were completely ****** over by unfocused x-ray emissions. Imagine what an Abaddon broadside with x-ray T2 pulses would do.

An Ork horde tearing a bunch of red shirts apart while Librarians make pudding out of Jedis and Space Marines insert explosive bolter rounds up the rear ends of dust bunnies... good times Twisted

And that's before the real fun even begins!

Why do people insist on doing things the hard way? There will be NO SHIP BOARDINGS!

If you can beam or otherwise insert troops aboard a starship, then you can beam or otherwise insert a nuke or anti-matter bomb or [insert exotic super-destructive device here,] aboard a starship.

On a related note, if ST ships do decide to slow down enough to let Eve ships engage them in combat, then as soon as the shields on an Eve ship go down, ST forces can just beam stuff (bombs) into the Eve ship, or beam stuff off of the Eve ship (such as the capsuleer.)

Your plan is to use beams of light to hit something traveling faster than the speed of light? Big smile
