So is it Chremoas or Chemoas? You spell it two different ways in that blog.

Awesome ships, though!

I agree that Ixion hull should be available to capsuleers. Why do all empire factions have 2 Cruisers available in their LP stores, but Pirate factions only one?

Also, adding extra high slot to Ch(r)emoas wouldn't be too bad I guess, otherwise why would anyone put a probe launcher on it, despite the bonus? Talking about Expanded probe launcher of course - no sense in scanning and running Data and Relic sites in it, but the proud owner will probably want to combat scan any trespassers in his home system.

Workarounds are not bugfixes.

Chremoas.

Quote:
In the Ars Theurgia, Chremoas is one of the ten great dukes who serve the Infernal prince Bidiel. Chremoas oversees no fewer than two thousand and four hundred inferior spirits.

Btw Moracha is also a demon, one of the 12 dukes serving Soleviel (wondering prince of air).

Edit: Sniped by the great Sarmatiko. gg. Smile

I am guessing the proper spelling is: Chremoas. Chremoas is one of the 10 grade dukes of the infernal prince Bidiel.

Also for a bit of about the Moracha: Apparently Moracha is one of the 12 Chief Dukes of the infernal prince Soleviel:

Well damn, CCP, that's what I call coherency.

Developing *new* ship designs is a long and resource intensive process, however these ship hulls are used by NPCs so the only additional work was to create two new ship skins as we didn’t need to touch the geometry of the ship.

And every time I saw that NPC, I hoped that maybe some day we would see this great design maybe as a pirate destroyer. Now it's coming to us, but likely not for me. :-/
Any further plans?

Yes, but you could do the same to countless other ingame models, and release some new ships/items/structures/whatnot.

Don't get me wrong, Retribution and Odyssey have been great patches, but the lack of true expansions is becoming evident.

The next "expansion" will (as far as we have been told) be focusing on T2 balance issues: that'll make for almost a year and a half of balance patches.

I know that EVE holds a special place in its subscriber's hearts, but this is a very voluble market, and there are major releases incoming.

Back when I started EVE I was driven by the sheer awe, not the balance.

"Dude look at that station, how awesome is that?" not "Hmmm, these two ships are very well balanced, I quite fancy that!".

Most players are here for the shiniez, not for the balance, and CCP doesn't seem to be delivering any, lately.

Again, balance is not a bad thing.
But look at the BS balance: it was basically all done by the playerbase, not the devs.
Hardly resource-consuming, is it?

As for the "resource" part.
As a 3D modelling amateur, I simply can not understand how can CCP developed graphic contents be so time-intensive.
CCP is a major gaming developer by now, the envy of the industry: it simply isn't justifiable anymore.

Secondly we have a bar called Meltdown in London located at 342 Caledonian Road, N1 1BB, London, United Kingdom with the closest London Underground stations being Kings Cross and Caledonian Road. Plans are still being made on any events that might be held surrounding the tournament but this is a bar that is sure to give you a good time. Especially when they are showing the Alliance Tournament.

ive a few eve friends meeting up to have drinks and such and just want to confirm that Meltdown will be playing the Alliance Tournament on the 20th?

cause if so we'd definitely be heading down there for good times!

I think they should make "nerfed" versions of these and the other price ships later on (like 6 months or a year later) and make them avaliable for the public.

Maybe give the winners some BPs for the nerfed versions as well so they can have exclusive access to them (and hopefully use them) before the rest of us get our hands on them.

They could have the same relationship to the price ships as a T1 ship usually have with its navy version, very similar but not as good.

That way the actual price ships would remain rare and irreplacable, the winners would get something they could actually use and the rest of us would eventually be able to get some new toys as well and not just look at the stats and cry.

Ok after thinking about it a while

The cruiser is just pure sex.

But why did you decide the ruin the Chremoas with that PVE bonus? =/ Why on earth would someone who owns a 50 bill frigate want to do exploration? let alone in THAT frigate?

That bonus adds nothing to the ship and would be much better served getting turned into something more useful, maybe mirroring the cruiser somewhat. The probe thing isn't awful but really meh since you would rather just use a dedicated prober then that. The virus bonus is just awful

The cyno bonus is also just plain silly because you would have to be absolutely ******* MAD to light a cyno with that ship but that is more nitpicking than anything else.

We mostly added the Hacking Bonus for funnsies. It's just an extra bonus that someone can use if they want to. It wasn't added in place of some other bonus.

Between the two, we've gotten nine new ships. That by itsef is pretty big, looking at how often CCP has released new ships in the past.

We've also gotten a whole bunch of previously-useless ships made useful, and the new skills and modules (also not typically realeased in such numbers) have altered the meta game quite a bit.

Further, Odyssey's main focus on changes and additions to exploration were a BIG change to that community, and a lot of new content was created for it. You may not take part in exploration, but you can't really ignore that.

On topic, I can't wait to play with that cruiser on the test server... Lol

Let me just say first: My god these ships... capsuleers' wet dream comes to mind. Because of the cov up cloak I actually see this as the first line of tournament ships that WILL see use in the actual game. A good pvper can take these out with little risk of losing them.

Then I realize, only certain alliance players can win them. You say it is a long and resource intensive process. Probably true.. But then again if you only have 1 dev on developing new ships we could expect several new hulls a year, let say 1 each trimester (honestly I can't even imagine it taking that long, if it took that long EVE online would have never been created 10 years ago) and that is a lot more then we have been getting over the last few years. To me that means that in reality no-one is on new development.
This is where EVE needs to go, add more functional/specialized but less overpowered hulls at a steady pace. Whether in the form of new ship lines, unique hulls or advanced tech could be researched. Maybe something to think about after the rebalancing act is over. People are certainly thirsting for this.

Radius

1. No need to give major alliances another source of income they can cartel.. Enough is being done for their interest, leave some for the other 400k players out there.

2. You have been trained to not expect much.. "Shall I dare ask that maybe in 6 months , a year they give me a new ship" thought the trembling capsuleer. No. We want them now. Why does everything have to take a year. If CCP plans to stop adding new content to a subscriber game like EVE they should communicate it clearly. If they do plan on staying in business then that means new content and that includes new ships. We shouldn't have to wait another year, it has been an age already and you have the right to demand them, not grovel on your knees like a 6 year old wanting a new toy.
