Merc on Merc action?

I always see there are plenty of [hisec] merc corps offering services and have given some passing thought of some possible contracts.

But I have one primary question, do merc corps battle other mercs? From a general overview, it would seem names like Marmite, Whores, Kane, and even this newbro Somali Bootcamp thing are very buddy-buddy together and don't mind sharing station/trade hub camping space together. Though I have no idea about their actual red/grey/blue standings to eachother.

So what if someone were to contract Whores in Space to wipe out Somali Bootcamp? Would they? Or would they not take up that business proposal? Or take it, but then not give any results on purpose.

I'm just curious what the atmosphere and effect would be if trade hub camping mercs were paid against one another. I always see plenty or Marmite and Whores camped around Amarr & Jita among some other names as well. Would trade hubs become total warzones, or do these hisec mercs operate as some single ring of no blue violence?

Nerf stabs/cloaks in FW? No, just.. -Fit more points -Fit faction points -Bring a friend or two with points (an alt is fine too)

I think most merc corps/alliances avoid deccing each other if only for the reason that C&P descends into terrible posting of the dickwaving and poopflinging variety, which is generally horrendous to read.

Talking as a player from Marmite and taking a general guess is that merc vs merc would be pointless and conflict with both alliances other contracts, also most merc alliances ceos are good friends.

There are many smaller merc corps or alliances such as PIRAT and Dark homeworld and many others who we have had engagements with and its alot of fun compared to people who wont fight.

This makes me just laugh thinking about WHOREs little "incident" a few days ago, where you were suspect baiting in a bhaalgorn, when someone decided to wipe it out. All of your logi got killed off by marmites, and since I dont want to generalise too much, atleast 1 guy from WHORE was VERY vocal in local about how marmites were going to pay!!11one for these crimes against them and their bhaalgorn. The tears were glorious!

I simply had to screenshot that chat, and now it keeps me sleeping well at night.

Also to be on topic, it seems like they will go against eachother, if given a good opportunity.

Wait, really?! Haha. wow!!
Did this happen in Amarr? Because I have in the past seen a Bhaal suspect baiting on station but never being fired at.

OT: I would hope so, since someday it could be entertaining to watch the biggest merc alliances fighting over camping rights on stations to pop their own indy/newb WTs. Lol
Just sit and watch the areas outside Jita/Amarr burn....
(with actual pvp, not that silly burnjita hauler gankingfest)

This post kind of proves my point but I also have absolutely no idea what you're talking about anyway, sorry.

I personally think they would dec each other, but the price for such an action would be no pocket money.

Looking for a group to pew with ? Have a chat with me.

Merc on Merc work just looks bad and is honestly bad for business. It's a big step to dec another merc alliance because there is no going back. Also to be truthful, if a merc alliance did collapse, another would form up in its place. There is nothing like high sec pvp :)

For the money. Then secondly for the lulz.
As been said by another, such corps/alliances can't be wiped out, as more just take their place. I just think it would glorious and entertaining if large merc names could be contracted into shooting eachother. Trade hubs will be littered with the fallen. A graveyard of pvp ships not seen anywhere else outside those huge null fleet battles.
