This is the second time now that this has happened, i sent a petition but they only said that they´d forward it to the QA team.

So, I end up fighting two light missile kestrels with off-grid links. when my ship starts to get low i switch to my podsaver tab, and thinking that if i eject, they might stop shooting and try to "seize the vessel", and then i can warp back to it, board it, and warp away. (i know, a little far-fetched but still) so i eject, and spam warp. unfortunatly the ship gets destroyed behind me, but atleast i warp away. I begin the approx 10 jumps long way home. i check my killmails, and there is my ship, nothing out of the ordinary. i log off, then log back in and poof, there it is, my "destroyed" pod. As it wasnt weird enough, according to the killmail i didnt have any implants (even though i have a full set).

Now, this is starting to get really annoying, if it happend once then okay, but twice in a row?? i dont want to get fake killmails for my pod every time i loose a ship.... :/ especially since i try to not get podded at all, and has so far managed to keep that number very low.

I talked to the guy who "podded" me a while afterwards, and he said that "it was very strange". apparently when i died there were TWO pods, mine (the real one) that he saw warp away, and another one, named only "capsule".

screen of my log file: http://i.imgur.com/s7CKM3j.png

when i read my logs, i can see "you cant do that cause you´re warping etc..", i can see myself starting to jump out of the system. although, i can also see "warp scramble attempt from kestrel to capsule", but it which doesnt even make sense. the log file seems to have logged two different events happening at the same time, the log doesnt even show any incoming damage coming to my pod.

Anyone else had this problem? it seems to occur when ejecting shortly before the ship gets destroyed. Two times now in a row i´ve gotten killmails for my pod, even though i warped away safely without a scratch.

Never had this problem though I get podded regurarly. Strange, I would guess that ejecting your pod"premature" caused the game to think that there still was a capsule in the ship when in exploded. (notice there was less than a second between exiting the ship and the ship exploding if you count how long a usual kestrel would need to lock a pod).

Now I guess the game assumed that is must create a pilot/capsule and generated one under your name. Sound strange and crazy but that would be my guess. I'm not sure if CCP can delete killmails but since this seems to be a bug they should give it a try.

Otherwise, like I said, strange. I'm interested in what caused that problem exactly.

Multithreading is a *****. What most likely happened is that you were moved out of your ship by the inventory node/process. The combat node detects the ship is destroyed but thinks someone is still piloting it and spawns a pod to which the player should be moved to. Now when the move is supposed to be processed, it's detected that he's already in another ship(pod) and thus isn't moved to that pod, but the other pod remains. Someone should try to reproduce it on the test server with the log server running and see if the server thows indeed an exception

That would be my guess.
