Criminal aggression transfer - a request

The problem: a pilot in a fleet can get criminal aggression by stealing from a can, then transfer that aggression to another pilot without any warning. This is becoming more common lately in high security incursion fleets and results in the logistic ships (and sometimes others in the fleet) being destroyed.

The request: Add a warning or indication that a pilot will get a criminal countdown for performing a non-hostile action. The one used for performing an action on war targets would work perfectly.

There is a warning already, the problem is that people turn it off. Please get a clue before posting.

Oh, really. Take a look at this screenshot and tell me which setting that is.

So get off your stinky butt and stay on top of your aggro timer. If you're in an Incursion and it says something other than True Power, you need to immediately raise the issue with your FC.

This might astonish you, but not-insignificant part of this game revolves around paying attention as well as sudden violencing of your ship.

I think it's this setting here:

You don't have the option to reset it, because it's already at the default value: always warn. You said you were sure.

there is NEVER criminal aggression because of STEALING from a can, concord will never respond to thiefery... stealing from a can allows the owner of the can to shoot at the thief, which gives the thief the ability to fight back, all in a 15 minute window...

but it seems like someone in your fleet did a criminal act by shooting something he is not allowed to shoot and the logistics were still repairing this criminal, which should not even happen anymore, if i am right... should have fixed at some patch...

I've heard now that it's not intended for anyone to get aggression this way, and has been reported as an exploit involving corporation membership. Awaiting GM response.

You're correct but confused. If you see that setting it means you chose to ignore the warning. In my screenshot you can see that I didn't choose to ignore the warning, so that setting isn't present. Before anything I put a rep on every new ship in an incursion fleet solely to see if that message pops up. It's pretty important not to turn it off while doing incursions.

fyp

if you check your aggression timers, you will see a new name pop up there if anyone can shoot you. always. every time.

unless your in null Lol

I verified this about a week ago on a corpmate while we were wardecced in lowsec, and yes, I got a criminal cooldown from it, and yes, it was listed in my various cooldowns when I put my mouse over the Aggression warning line in the top left.

Pay attention, and always be ready for non-consensual pvp.

This is a standard incursion trick.

Get a player into the Incursion fleet.

Have alt fly near the player.

Drop can

Player in Incursion fleet opens can giving aggression to fleet.

Warp in killing ships and profit from faction fit ships.

erm wrong
the 'killing ships' would only have aggression against the logistics not against the whole fleet
and the alt would need to be in the same corp as the 'killing ships' for this to work
ofc a well timed removal of the logistics may cause a shiny or two to be popped by the sansha rats but then you would need be able to deal
with the incursion while scooping the loot

The actual trick is the fact that the entire fleet can shoot the red, and someone is always gonna panic when they see him go flashy red... then the rest of his fleet has aggression on the incursion fleet. and can come have fun.
