My number 1 problem is ISK

12 million ISK? You can earn that much and more in bounties running level 4 security missions. If you include the loot from the missions you can rake in 5x that. Maybe try running a few of them.

Ponies!  We need more ponies!

Sounds like you are creating your own problem. Instead of letting your skillque plan dictate how you play, let how you play dictate your skillqueue. You will have more fun when you stop min maxing your skillqueue and just train what you need to enjoy the game.

Oh god, you didn't really start out and build everything up from a rookie ship and 5,000 ISK did you? If so, I'm so sorry that happened to you. I don't know why noobs are still given the impression that they're actually supposed to build a space-empire from an Ibis and 5,000 ISK. Someone should have helped you out.

I started before there was plex and that was the only way to start. mined enough to buy a bantam, mined some more and went from there.

So yeah... My personal number 1 problem in EVE is making ISK.

I watch how people spend billions buying Characters, Faction ships and so forth, I am sitting here with 12 million.

1. I can't afford to learn to PvP as I will run out of ISK super fast. I have tried, failed and lost a considerable (for my wallet) amount of money.

2. I could do some HS exploration but that will interfere with and ultimately mess my PvP skill queue. And time is my most precious commodity.

3. I could do some FW but I would again end up in 1, above

4. Incursions would be an option, too, but that would also mess up my skill queue

5. Not to mention mining - that would seriously mess up my skill queue (and perhaps also reputation)

6. If anyone says "Join RvB" I would reply that I don't like staged fights

So I am not sure what to do at this stage. I feel that ISK making is a major roadblock in the game, or at least it has been in my personal experience. People have offered to help financially, but I never accepted because that would not solve the problem of being unable to generate an income to fund my PVP.

Posting this in hope that I have missed something and that someone takes the time to explain.

A lot of people have problems with isk, others are either just good at what they do or are lucky.
Exploration will not take too much training time away from your pvp skills really, and if you don't want to train for probing [which is good for certain pvp aspects] then you can just do the basic combat sites on the system scanner. You have a chance at some faction loot and a very small chance at an escalation which can bring in nice profit.

For starting pvp just fly cheap and dirty. Does not matter if you lose the ship as long as you gain the experience of the fight and understand why you lost it. After some time you can upgrade to something a bit more costly and start winning some more fights with the knowledge of all the other fights you lost.

Join the in game Channel "SirSqueebles" and ask a number of other players how they make their ISK for pvp. It Ranges from basic anoms to incursions and beyond.

Play EvE how you want to play it and do not let others dictate how you play. Evolve your playstyle to protect yourself from others! Even in "PVE", "PVP" is there, lurking in the shadows.

The people who have this problem

are the ones

who think that Isk is anything more

How many SP do you have, and do you have BS V and BS guns to V for any race?

When I started out I played so many different roles.

I did some missions, when I got bored of that I tried hauling some modules from Jita to mission hubs, when I got bored of that I mined a bit. When that got boring I tried to PvP.

I tried a lot of stuff and shaped my learning from doing different things.

Basically I didn't just do one thing. I kept my skill training primarily on PvP but I didn't hesitate to get some level 2 or 3 skills in other things. It has made me a more rounded player.

Just have some fun my friend. It is just a game.

Edit - the universal theme here is that everything I did made me some isk.

Aaaaaaand relax.

Dear OP. Please read.

Find a w-space corporation that accepts newer players.

If you want some quick isk do this.

1.Fly a Assault frigate (Lvl 4 in Assault Frigates is fine) and is a very good PVP skill to have. If you can get in a Retribution that is a perfect ship for this. Im sure all the other races assault frigates would also work fine.

2. Find C1 + C2 class wormholes. Run the anomolies in them. Use an AB and speed tank the sleepers. Each site will net you more than you currently have in your wallet.

3. Buy a Coercer and salvage with this.

4. Reap the rewards.

Moving to W-Space will teach you lots about PVP also, things like scanning, D-Scan, Speed tanking and general spatial awareness in the Eve universe! It was one of the best things i did as a newer player!

Join E-uni then once in the uni join their Ivy league navy. You'll get to pew pew against war targets nearly 24/7, plenty of anti pirate pew pewing and the occasional suicide trip to null.

Join a corp that has a ship reimbursement program. Almost all null sec corps / alliances do, some even cover ships that aren't lost in "CTA" type engagements. Contrary to what I see spouted on the forums from time to time, null sec is not all blue to each other. Conflict is happening everywhere - from small gang / solo / large fleet / sov grinds. An added bonus to a SRP is grinding isk when nothing is happening is much easier in null (anom/exploration/mining if you are a masochist).

I would avoid TEST though..rumor has it their reimbursement program is struggling.

I recommend FW.

It is very lucrative and for the most part it is done in fleets which significantly lowers your chance of combat. After you have amassed a significant amount of LP, rather quickly, you can buy and sell faction items to build your nut.

When you are ready to PvP you will already be in the right place and have connections to people that will want to do the same. You will also have access to an abundant amount of legal targets.

Otherwise go join RvB. There you can PvP and they will help outfit you. Don't expect to make much ISK though.

That's tragic, I'm so sorry.
