Once setup PI does not take any time to manage, plus it will kill your soul if that is only what you look forward to for your hour of free time after a few weeks.

Invention and Tech 2 production are options, but mainly on the planning and setup. Once setup it does not take too much time to restart jobs unless you have many alts dedicated to that task. If you are situated near a trade hub hauling time can be minimized.

Depending on your technical skills, building tools (Excel/Access/SQL) that allow for better decision making can be a good use of time. A tool that calculates the build cost of items can inform you of what is best to make today (or use the many great tools posted online for free).

Also they can be good as a trading tool (or asset acquisition) as some markets with many intermediate products/levels *hint T2 / PI Markets* will experience moments where products will sell for a good discount below their build cost. You could even go so far as to build predictive tools, but that is reserved for the craziest of us.

Swing trading is another option that requires little maintenance. Finding items to bottom fish bid for can be interesting for those that like to hunt for deals and earn relaxed profits. Find items, place bids, get hit, relist above current ask and wait. Maintain your orders above any large bidder or seller but not at best bid or ask. Each process: Invention, T2 Production, Trade, and PI once setup requires little time to maintain if done right.

Each on their own will drain your soul but all combined will give you some choice on what to do that night when time is limited. For some the joy might not be in the maintenance of any of these processes but the planning and setup of them. The choice is yours!

Hope that helps
