Hi
I've been reading a lot about the war that's going on lately and watching a lot of Mad Ani. One thing that seems to come up a lot is Pandemic Legion. People talk about them like the are the deciding factor in any dispute.
Who are they, and why are they considered so powerful?
Has noone ever succeeded in fighting there power or something?

They have a very large super fleet and love to drop it. This makes it difficult for groups on the opposing side to use supers without sparking an all out brawl involving their entire super fleet.

So why has a large group not teamed up to take them down?
Surely if they are so powerful noone can touch them, then they have "won" eve and there's little point in playing for null sec players?

PL don't really like holding sovereignty. They have some renter space as in income stream, but generally they just roam around the galaxy wherever there's a conflict, or doing mercenary work.

But nobody wants to mess with them because nobody wants to get helicoptor-dicked by over 100 titans.

Pandemic Legion? Never heard of 'em...

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

From a lowsec perspective: PL is capable and most of all willing to hotdrop your 3 BC lowsec gatecamp with 40 ships and a titan. It's this willingness that makes them so dangerous (and unloved by some). In our home system we are taking over the POCOs, the ones that are left all belong to blues or PL. We are reluctant to attack PL's lowsec assets because we simply cannot scale up to their level of engagement, nor survive the Titan onslaught should PL decide we are trouble enough to evict.

Titans can't even doomsday in lowsec. More likely they'd drop dreds and slowcats... maybe supercariers too, but not titans.

Sala Cameron once cynoed on top of me me in lowsec, I was just in a cruisers, off gate then a maller landed, popped cyno then I had Salas Rag on top of me :).

So yes, they most definitely do drop titans in low sec, even for just a cruiser kill. I managed to slowboat back to gate and jump out :)

Up until recently they really didnt 'own' anything. No sov, etc. the traditional things that people in 0.0 take or conquer that can be construed as 'beating' someone. They have moons but they are very careful to align themselves with larger entities as a so-called meatshield. Like partnering up with goons for OTEC before the great moon shift.

It is true that they can field a large number of capitals, whether it be dreads, titans, supers, carriers, etc. but those capital ships need a support fleet and this is where PL is lacking. Numbers. So now they are aligned with N3 in their rental endeavors and actually have space in the east, which makes them vulnerable.

No, definately Titans. From what I have seen our home system they just use them to bridge large fleets around, and hotdrop targets of oppurtunity. I don't know is that makes sense, but that's what I see happening (I live a few jumps from Uemon). It's not very frequent though so I guess we mainly see this behaviour when people are a tad bored and reckless.
