How to get more DPS with missiles?

Hi,

I currently have the navy scorpion, I have 6 heavy missile launchers on it (which is the max)

My dps atm is pretty low and although lvl 2's are easy, they take a long time for me because of my low damage.

I really like my missiles and was wondering how to get more dps? I have trained som skill levels at heavy missiles and such and I have 2 missiles rigs, more damage and "cooldown"

Currently, I can't see any way for me to get more dps without training for many weeks in skills, anybody know any other ways?

My missile launcher has a dps of 18 with faction missiles and a range of 43. Should I use any other launcher for me dps?

PS. I dont want to lose alot of range.

I appreciate any answer, thx.

Skills, lots of skills - if your dps is 18 for a faction missile every relevant skill level will make a difference (look at the certificate planner for good missile skills)

/facepalm

Stop using a Navy Scorpion for L2's and switch to something like a Caracal with Rapid Light Missile Launchers.

Ah... use cruise missiles on your battleship hull. Cruise missiles will benefit from the Navy Scorp's RoF bonus (while Heavy Missiles will not.) And put 5-6 TPs on it if you're running level 2s.

Question for you. How many acceleration gates in level 2 missions allow battleships? (Meaning, are we really talking about a navy scorpion?)

Hey man. Definitely get cruise missles trained for starters. Cruise missles on a Navy Scorpion are sweet.

Also, go to the Market, Skills subsection, Missiles subsection. Buy all them skills (minus the capital ones), inject, play...!!! Big smile

EDIT: You're only 18 days old. You need to get out of that Scorpion. You should be still in frigate/destroyer. And thinking about a Cruiser.
Support skills are your friend. Train your core skills, shield skills and missile skills...

It's human nature to want to explore. To find your line and go beyond it. The only limit, is the one you set yourself.

Skills, skills and more skills. Also, if you're only getting 18 dps per launcher and running level 2 missions, what the **** are you doing in a navy scorpion ??

Use Cruise or Torps...your Heavy missiles aren't getting bonused at all.

As said above, for L2s, use a caracal with rapid lights. Much better DPS against smaller targets.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

He's probably playing it very safe ^^

As his skills goes up, he can switch to more "accurate" fit down the road.

Fitting HML's to a navy scorp is a warcrime in some constellations. Somebody may put your ship out of its misery.

:S

What launchers are best on a drake? Does every ship have some launchers or turrets they are best with?

Heavies will work on a drake. Check the ship description, it'll tell you what size/type of weapon it gives bonuses to.

A navy scorp get bonuses to cruise missiles or torpedo launchers.

May I ask what a scorpion will be good for, since apparently doing lvl 2's with it is not a good idea.

A Navy Scorp when properly fit is a wreck factory in pvp.
