Increasing lag while salvaging & looting

For some time now I noticed a recent increase in the lag / response time of the client when I fly my Noctis and go out to salvage the wrecks of a nice mission run, i.e. 1 - 1.5 hours of missioning.

The further I get into the salvaging run, the more wrecks I salvage and the more containers I loot, the more unresponsive the client becomes. This comes mostly down to lagging when a) interacting with anything inventory related and b) delayed response times on keyboard & mouse input (e.g. Selecting a new wreck and hitting F1 to activate salvager module, it a) still activates the module on the previously selected wreck or b) somtimes not at all).

At some point this lag becomes so bad, that the whole process becomes increasingly frustrating and necessitates a restart of the client. This resets the responsivenss of the client to the initial smooth level and the whole game start anew.

And while prolonged activity in a Noctis has always reduced the efficient working of the client for me, the problem seems to have increased in a significant way during the last few weeks / since the launch of Odyssey. And no, there have been no changes to my PC during that time.

A few more facts. Problem occurs with a single instance of the client running. No other (non system related) programs running at the same time and especially no other program with demands on the internet connection (average 12.000 kbit/s down- and 1000 kbit/s upload).

Other relevant system specs: 8 GB RAM, AMD Athlon II X4 640 quad-core, Windows 7, NVIDIA GTX 650 Ti and 175 GB free hard disk space. Updated drivers and of course the current version of the EVE client.

I get the same although while running incursions, not tried salvaging. As you say restarting the client fixes it so I am guessing a resource leak of some kind.

Out of interest are you in a fleet when this is happening?

‘No, this isn't it at all. Make it more... psssshhhh’.

No, not part of a fleet when I go out salvaging. And I have not encountered anything comparable to my salvaging problems doing my other activities in EVE (e.g. Mining, missioning and exploration ... Each solo or in fleet. Even if having at those times multiple instances of the client open). So your reference with regard to Incursions is really interesting to me.

Well I have absolutely the same issue.
The problem was here even before Odyssey, it just wasn't SO bad. Everytime I do some action, the FPS drops to 10-15. Average in space is among 100-120. I checked how the processor or memory is busy, but they do work in 25-50% range at all time.

No1 in our corp have the same problem, only I do. So it is not common, but still, what is it, and is there a way how to solve it?

By now I relog after every salvaging run and also do said runs earlier (i.e. already after 2-3 missions). Else later salvaging sites would become unbearable laggy for me and the relog resets the problem to zero.

Kind of a solution, even if not an elegant one. Haven't found a proper solution so far ... neither from the friendly feedback by other players in in-game channels / here in the forums, nor by the so far non-existing feedback by CCP.
