I alread agreed with your analysis of combat against a MWD fit brawler.....after all that is exactly the reason dual prop fits came about in the first place.

Admittedly I didn't look past page 5 on your BC KB cos I bored at looking at anti frig caracals killing frigs. and those weren't even solo FFS.

And as I already mentioned feel free to hunt me down and show me how good your slicer is against my executioner. It's up to you if you want to waste your time like that. Big smile

Until it got to the trollmails I thought the discussion/argument was actually really helpful; learned a lot about how frig fights works. Thanks to both of you :).

But just as a side note. Both the exec/slicer, just in my mind, would get wrecked by a drone ship/missile boat. Is this right? If so is there really any way for frigs to counter this?


Drones are completely useless in the context of PvP. Unless you are discussing light drones- which are useful, as a secondary form of damage application. As for missile boats- the only really popular ones are the LML condors. Other than that- turrets rule the frig world.

As I have said earlier- best frig PvP ships:

Arty Wolf
Slicer
Dare Devil (Rail Devil in particular)

However honorable mention to LML condor / LML hookbill. The hookbill in particular because it has many mids to add those damps / TD's

Generally drones don't do so well against kitey frigates as they have trouble keeping up with them to do damage. and the kiter is pretty much free to take them out while still keeping you warp disrupted so you are not going anywhere.

However the 'best' frigs for solo pvp is........

Whatever you prefer flying.

Seriously grab a few T1's and go out and fly them, find a race/weapon combo that you like and fly them. Since the rebalance all races have viable frigs for a variety of combat roles.

My personal faves:
T1
Rail incursus
Neut/rep Rifter
Scorch Tormentor

T2
Jaguar - Super rifter style Cool
Vengeance (love the black colour scheme)
Enyo/Ishkur equally

Navy
All of them are bloody good to kill **** with!

Pirate
Bah I don't fly them cos they are silly expensive and can be killed T1 frigs nowadays.
