I would like to install Eve on linuxmint never done it and new at Linux
is it easy to do .
and if so how please

Don't know much about Linux Mint but I would read the thread above (installing on Ubuntu 12.04) as a good start and then maybe check the database at winehq?

You should install PlayOnLinux, then through it install EVE. That is how I managed to do it.
Be aware that you MUST have all dependencies needed to run Wine, if you have errors, just install that what is missing (Python in most cases).
