Rage torps now miss targets?

I am not sure if this was due to a missile mechanics change or if it's a bug/glitch. But I was messing around helping a corp mate test a frigate fit Yesterday, and decided to launch a volley of rage torps knowing they'd do minimal damage.

But I didn't expect them to completely miss. I didn't know what I had seen, so I tried again.

My Torpedos launched, then followed the target for a moment before erratically accelerating and decelerating around the target in some twisted orbit pattern before simply vanishing at the end of their flight time.

I know what some of you are thinking.. Target was too fast.. Nope wasn't using a prop mod.

It used to be that torps would hit any target, even for a minuscule amount, but now it appears torps can not find the target at all in this scenario. I decided to test again to confirm

Mjolnir Rage torps equipped on a Typhoon firing at a Sarum Magnate orbiting at 5km @ 240 m/s

In fact splitting launchers and firing provides quite a spectacular show as the torps go completely bananas around the target

I haven't had quite the same problem, the problem I have encountered is not getting the full flight out of them. My launcher shows 52km, I shoot at a cyno frig from stationary 48km they never hit target i have to get closer. But light missiles don't have this problem my talwar has a 63km range they hit 63km spot on.

Ah that's because the max range on the display doesn't take in to account the time it takes the missiles to get to full speed. From the time you click fire is when the flight time begins.it would be nice if it were slightly more accurate. Torps also fall about 5km or more short of max range on stationary targets because of all the time they take to release from the launchers.

But hey, at least they look nicer now lol.

I was just having the same issue. Regardless of target size I killed both frigate and BS . The only thing I noticed was when I was NOT MWDing it hit more often. But still not every time. I was we'll within my optimal. I can't seem to find an answer to this anywhere. It would be nice to have an answer before I use it for pvp else I'm going to die for sure. Shocked
