They need to fix aggression in wormholes. I found an Orca sitting on a hole, aggressed him and he jumped through. I followed. He presumably logged off while still holding his jump cloak. I tackled him on the other side and started to shoot him before he Emergency Warped. 60 seconds later, his ship disappears on the wormhole while locked and scrammed by me... That's some bullsh*t. While I agree that there should be measures to protect people from disconnects and things like that, if you are aggro'd prior to logging, for any reason, then you already made your fatal mistake and should deal with the consequences.

I was wondering this as well and a dev post on it would be greatly appreciated. For now I guess it would depend on when the first check for aggression is done. If the first check occurs immediately upon logoff you should be fine and despawn after 60 seconds. If the check occurs after the 60 seconds and there is a quick prober you could login to find yourself in a station you weren't expecting to be in.

That being said I would feel reasonably safe in assuming it's the former case as there will be far less rage and fewer petitions to wade through if the check is immediate. So for the sake of avoiding weeks of migraines, I suspect you won't really need to worry about being probed out in 60 seconds.

Reality has an almost infinite capacity to resist oversimplification.

I don't have the link... but a dev has clarified that if you log off wiithout an aggression timer, you will despawn after 1 minute, regardless of any aggression done to your ship after you log off.

Note: The intended mechanics don't always work how CCP intends them, so be cautious during the initial deployment.

Sooo....so far i'm getting...

Logoff without aggression = Dissapear in 1 minute.

Loggoff without player aggresion, with NPC aggression = Dissapear in 1 minute (though up till now I've tested that doesn't work...)

Logoff with aggression, stay in space 15 minutes.

Get aggressed within 15 minutes...stay in space another 15 minutes.



Granted there's a lot of freakin' gray area in terms of the "15 minute checks" routinely going on...but the gist of it is...anything big, like a super, that's loggofski'd after getting aggression will continuously be aggressed, will continuously stay in game, as long as someone keeps doing something hostile to it.

Still needs more clarification, but this is a very, very, VERY welcome mechanic coming up. I (me and a fleet + friends) caught two titans...one died just before the 15 minutes were up...the other "beat the clock" and dissapeared. Lookin' foward to the new changes.

Clarification on the 15 minute "checks" please?
