You send a real CovOp ship ahead, who lights a CovCyno. Then you Bridge across so your hoard of CovOp ships can rush in. Theoretically, you could Jump in yourself, cloak in place, and wait to give the fleet a ride home.

Did you even ever board a black ops? Not even talking of using it in anger...

The idea of cloaking in place after jumping, in the middle of a swarm of drones, is hilarious. Me? I just shoot and neut the primary while aligning and making range. And I never missed the covops cloak, because being out of system before the fight is a lot more stealthy than being able to warp cloaked...

I'm not sure where all this is coming from?

I was specifically talking about someone lighting a CovCyno in a deep safe someplace, for you to sneak a fleet in.

If the Black Ops wants to go to the deep safe as well, and wait to give the fleet a ride home, he can cloak in place.

I wasn't talking about hot dropping. If you want to hot drop, why not use a real Cyno, and bring in real ships? That seems to be how the big boys do it.

Deep safes were removed a while ago.

You virtually always cyno your on to the hostile(s) otherwise you'd often might as well go by gates and let the hostiles see your gang in local that way. By cynoing in at a safe and then warping to the hostiles you loose the element of surprise (one of the main reasons for use covert gangs) and provide the hostiles with time to run.

Often when you cyno in you are trying to force a fight which the hostiles wouldn't take, if they had the chance to run, or simply use the element of surprise to catch them unorganised. Otherwise one could might as well go by gates (in cheaper ships).

Don't listen to above posters.

I fly black ops quite often, and combat capabality wise the Panther and Redeemer just stand out for dps and with decent tank.
As support the widow is just the best. ECM will rock your world and you will want to bring that.

Besides that, the SIN as neuting/logi boat is just amazing.

all 4 of them can be used depending on your total fleet setup, and it doesn't hurt to have someone with an armor mindlink.

Feel free to convo me in game for some additional information. Cool

this.

all 4 have their pro and cons, and you just want to choose according to your fleet comp.

i do fly a sin, and i find it performing very well for what i use it.
but this works because of the fleet we use, and i was not the first black op pilot, sin is more a support swiss knife like, it could be DPS support (up to 800 dps, wich is not that bad), a logi for a T3 gank, making it a mini blops carrier, can do amazing with a 2nd SIN (RR Sins Twisted)

the others blops are more specialist, dps for redeemer / panther, ECM for the widow.

if you are the first blops pilot of your fleet, i would suggest the widow if you intend to field it, but if it is planned more pilot being blops pilot, then consider the sin, use it just as bridge until other are ready, and after that, you will discover how effective a synergy between different black ops can be!

not many pilot do fly the sin actually, because it has bad reputation as a meh drone boat, but like any drone boats, it can be surprising under the right hands...
