Almost all of the icons are corrupted for me (non-existent in combat logs). Do we pin our hopes on Rubicon?

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

I’m predicting Rubicon fixes all this.

But,

I am very much a non-techie person, so I have nothing to back up my prediction.

Other than hope.

The icons that are currently corrupted for me are all the small ship icons in the combat log.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Still having this problem, it appears that some of the icons are pulling in scrambled images from my desktop imagery. Would love for this to be fixed as we can't tell what our ships and modules are anymore

Just renewed some gametime in anticipation of rubicon. However, I am displeased that there are now more bugs in this game than when I left months ago, this being one of the more annoying ones i've encountered. Hopefully the rubicon update this week fixes this or CCP has lost yet another player. Kinda wishing I didn't renew at the moment. Hopefully I don't regret it after the new patch.

I was in hopes that the Rubicon expansion would fix this issue. I must now say that I am greatly disappointed. This problem started with the Odyssey expansion in June, and continues to exist even though a couple of dozen patches both minor and major have been applied, along with the Rubicon expansion.

While this problem may seem trivial to some, it has a huge impact on both PvE and PvP players. Being able to identify a ship based on visual clues from the icons is a must. More so when you are trying to apply ECM modules in the heat of battle without instantly knowing the racial type from the icons.

CCP please acknowledge the issue and address it as soon as possible.

Considering this thread was created by CCP TerrorShark, I don't think them acknowledging it is an issue anymore.

The true issue is the lack of response to they are giving to us on fixing this issue. I was the first person to post on this thread when it was created and I haven't heard a word from CCP since they where able to reproduce it in-house almost 5 months ago.

To CCP: All we want to know is how close are you to fixing this and all the other mac issues that have been afflicting the game! Sort of that are you even trying anymore or have to you transferred Mac support to a third part? This is all we want to know. We all have been sitting here patiently wondering why we paying for a product that is in all effective ways defective. So please tell us are you trying to fix these issues or not, and if you are when can we expect a fix?! One final comment to CCP, if you have truly moved Mac support to TransGaming Inc. (as their website implies http://transgaming.com/cider/games?page=3). Then inform us of their progress.

Thank you

I suggest all with this issue go try the steps here

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=3895830#post3895830

And when that does not work, report it in that thread.

As we do not have an official feedback thread we should all use the main one. It appears that others with the corrupt icon issue are reporting in the main thread and getting CCP responses.

I don't know if this is true for anyone else but, yesterday afternoon when I logged on the issue of the icon corruption was resolved! Finally I could see what I was targeting again! I'll have to confirm it this morning when i get back from work but finally worked so thank you CCP! What ever you did it worked and we can see again.Big smile

I noticed some of it was coming back as well although not all of it.

I tried clearing the cache from the launcher but that seemed mildly effective but nowhere near complete.

However, I cleared it from the actual game itself and now everything is back to normal. Yaaaay no more Windows client in Parallels.

My icon's are still rendering corrupted. I don't know much about computers so that could be the problem. But I have cleared my cache from ingame settings and on the Launcher. I also did the software updates available for my Mac. Is there something I am missing?
