I deleted a marged character by mistake is there any change to recreate it or is it lost ?

it is indeed lost, when merged characters, or even normal characters for that matter, are deleted they are removed from the database since the people deleting their characters more than likely don't want me to be able to keep their transactions.

Great program, I love the character merging function that it provides.

I was doing some quick calculations though and trying to find out why my calculated profit was consistently higher than the websites calculations. Fortunately I think I found the two differences.

1) The issue throwing it off the most is that it automatically calculates a broker fee on the purchase price, even if I bought it directly without a buy order. Is there a way to turn this off either by transaction or for the whole character?

2) The second is really minor and not an issue, just thought I'd post it anyways in case people were curious. It looks to be a combination of either rounding differences on the broker fee % and/or a slight discrepancy with how the broker fee % is calculated in the first place. This shouldn't affect anyone unless your margins are down at the fraction of a % to begin with, in which case you might be doing something wrong What?

Not sure what exactly your "merged characters" are, but the name suggest that transactions and stuff from two or more characters are presented as if they stem from one character.

If that assumption is somewhat correct, why not merge the data from the different characters on the fly? That's what I do with what I call "Virtual Characters" in my EWA.

I ran into some trouble and deleted a mergerd character. I just want to recreate it, but seem unable to do so as I am unable to select any characters. If I recall correctly, this was don by clicking on the portraits? Nothing I do seems to be able to select a character.

Is there something I am doing wrong or is there a general problem with merging characters?

I have had problems getting data from the api for the last couple of days.

when I refresh api data I get this error

Warning: file_get_contents(https://api.eveonline.com//eve/ConquerableStationList.xml.aspx?): failed to open stream: No route to host in /var/www/war/EVE-Profit/include/api.php on line 21

There seems to be an unexpected error (ohh, so this was not an expetced error!? - idiot!) and I cannot fetch the API information for some reason (no internet connection to http://api.eve-online.com/!?)
If you are lucky maybe CCP has some information about it on their EVE-Online website?
You can also check out Chribbas EVE-Online Status monitor.

If not results on those pages please report this as an error on the bugs page.

I will take a look into this right now, I received your email. I'll follow up shortly to evemail you and I'll update this post once I figure out what happened.


Update~
After investigating this issue it seems to be an issue with the cached cookies on the server, which is something I've been wanting to reproduce for a long time.

Two options can be taken to access the site at this time when you are effected. I can clear the cookies(I rather resolve this than band-aid it) or access the beta section. Beta section currently only has the profit chart(which is far from ready) and the occasional error that comes up due to file permission errors.

I am going to attempt to work with Philip Ogtaulmolfi so that I can resolve this specific issue, rather than constantly band-aiding it. If they are unable and anyone else is having this issue please contact me because I really want to get this cookie issue fixed once and for all.
