The new hacking mechanics is awful. The minigame is too easy, even sites in nullsec with lvl 4 hacking skill are incredibly simple, and the the whole scattering self destructing containers when you win is tedious. How do i beam containers when i dont have a tractor beam? Why would i destroy the container and scatter the loot when i successfully hacked it, it feels more logical that happens when i fail.

Even if you scan with cargo scanner and know the loot tables and what mini containers to get since you cant place the mini containers on overview checking the containers that launched is the equivalent of placing 10 headshots in 2 sec. The best way to get better in eve hacking is playing first person shooters.

Rework the minigame, make it more challenging and please remove the scattering self destructing containers please.

Minigame is fine as far as I'm concerned but I totally agree on the scattering mechanic.

It was apparently done to encourage multiple people to do exploration together but it really hasn't done that. All it's done is reward people for multi-clienting, which just sucks.

I've tried playing it solo, without using one of my alts to help pick up loot and in 5 sites I made a grand total of 5 mill isk in loot, in nullsec. You NEED to have an alt with you to pick up the loot. This really shouldn't be.

I've only done scanning in lowsec and highsec, but I can usually get all the decent loot out of the cans solo from there. What does suck though is not being able to add the can to the overview, and not have a forum post up to reference what can i want to tractor in from the cargo scan results. Other then that, I think its alot better then it was. Before it benefited multi boxers more so then it does now, because you would want a cloaky scanning ship to scan down/hack the site, but you would also need a combat ship to clear the site to unlock all the cans. Now that there are no rats in there, you only need your cloaky scanning boat.

Lowering the average to make you look better since 2012.

I agree with Apostrof make the mini game harder and the scattering thing sucks a ton

Not really, it's even worst!!

Cherrypicking ability + super uber bad can spew idea, doesn't bring more conflict but annoyance, doesn't add anything interesting but tedious and frustration.

I'm doing those, and I'm even poping cans on purpose to mess with some explorers day. Whenever I spot a cherrypicker around I run all possible sites and pop can with BPCs as fast as I can, just because I can and just because I'm ruining their fun of ruining mine.

Thx CCP.

If you want it to be more difficult try running the left side of the Deltole Survey site. Not quite so easy with rats shooting at you at the same time. If you want it to be more difficult bring back the rats in all locations.

But I agree that there is not much point to the confetti cans beyond irritating players. Leave the mini game, restore the rats, loose the confetti cans.
