Crime & Punishment

Greetings New Eden!.
Today i have a little well known activity and a warning to new players!
and to those of you you already know this sort of trickery, i have a very hilarious story of it failing, and some very bad smack.

This is made with the hope of it reaching the ears of those involved, and some interesting play time after it does so!

My story starts in Uitra. Starter System.
At Uitra VI, Moon 4, there is a State war academy, it is my second day in EvE and im flying around with a helpful contact. learning tips and tricks about midslots and disruption, and traversal velocities and how to not get hit.
After some victories and close calls. I come across a lone Bantam! who is flashing yellow, flying out of the undock. after having a little excited squeak, i let out my new player victory screech and dive after it, like a cat on an unsuspecting mouse!

Unfortunatly for me, this heavily buff tanked mouse had the ability to undock and turn into the legendary Danger Mouse!, or in the non metaphorical case, a Daredevil! a brave decision to engage my 2 day old condor that i had a few tutorial mission modules on. Bravo good sir.

Failing to catch me in this rather expensive looking frigate I warped out, not knowing what the hull was or what it could do.
Warping back i find the fellow engaged by a Drake and a Corax. and an Ibis lending some support. After a little wide eyed moment looking at the Drake i made haste to the Daredevil to get my 'quids in' and see if i could get the last hit.

Then his friend undocks in an Augoror.

I'm sure the people older than two days know what happened next. and to my delight the Augoror went flashy yellow and i had a whole new target in mind. And i quickly alert Local to the same thing



All fire swaps over to the Augoror, and i get a Conversation invitation.
Apparently someone is not best pleased about his noble tactics being thwarted, and basic common sense being applied by his targets! Whatever could he want



The poor guy starts burning out to me, since i'm engaging the Augoror (955 damage done in the end) and i watch him come on the overview, i align to a celestial, and i warp before he gets within disruptor range. This hero has missed me again. (1200aprox damage done to his ship, for 0 received by both)

Unfortunatly, it must not have gone well for them, since i returned to them both being docked up by the time i warp back to the station (Or dead, i never did check) But what happened after was wonderful, and was my first introduction to 'Smack talk', it began when i messaged back the guy helping me out by the station, who alerted me of "He's smack talking you in local"




This guy was supposed to be a veteran at this little Troll!

I hope you had a little chuckle as i did, i was overjoyed to find a sub forum to taddle tale on scams and trolls. I hope any new players who use these learn from my mistake turned hilarious adventure that you never know what that flashy ship will turn into when you engage it on an undock!

I hope that people already wise to it had fun reading through the terrible smack-talk and that i entertained all audiences in some way
