Loot in HI - Low - Null Data and Relic Sites

Hi all,

I am just wondering if there is any difference in the worth or quality of loot that drops off Relic and Data sites in different security regions.

Recently I have been trying out some exploration (can spew ffs) and have tried it in all 3 security regions. I'm quite happy to venture into Low Sec and to sneak into Null, the problem is is that the loot doesn't seem to be any better in Null than it is in Hi sec, is this right?

Even if it is the same getting out of Hi Sec is a boon because most relic/data sites are constantly picked clean there anyway but I don't particularly wish to go into Null if I can just get the same loot from Low or even Hi Sec, I am trying not to turn into a carebear but its all about risk vs reward.

I am interested in the facts but your observations are also welcome.

Null sites have a ton more containers that spawn out of cans. The quality of items coming out seems to be better as well. Lots more bpc's and t2 materials.

Tends to be balanced out though since in highsec you can do a lot more traveling and hit more sites than null, but the quality in null is higher.

"Loot bukkake" is the term you are looking for.

For me loot is the same (i.e. crap) in low and high and profit is comparable to high-sec mining (i.e. crap) despite higher amount of cheap stuff in low-sec sites. I understand there is a chance to find 200-400mil worth items but ater few days I don't understand how much time do I have to spend to find one and how *this* can be interesting?

It's gambling. If you want to approach it as a profession, then you need to start thinking about how to improve your averages, since that's what it's all about.
