Since CCP endorses Multiboxing why can't log in mutliple accounts with one click?

Pretty much the title says it all. Imagine it though. Lauching multiple clients, and accounts with one click. Either with one master password or individually entering the passwords. Would simplify logging all your toons in. So lets discuss it.

I try to be nice and mind my business just shooting lasers at rocks. There is just way too many asshats in New Eden for that to happen.

If you are going to pose this question to CSM, you may want to put a CSM spin on it. Like has this come up? Or can you advocate this? Otherwise people will rightfully point you to Features & Ideas.

Master accounts have been discussed before and I believe they wanted to get the recent SSO work done first, but I believe CCP hasn't fully committed to doing it. They are interested in exploring the idea though. I seem to recall mention of it in previous summit minutes.

I've noted a number of times that the SSO is designed to be a single sign on into multiple services which is useful for the batch of sites now in use. But in the Launcher, we are most often using multiple sign ins into the same service. SSO isn't meant to help that.

Master accounts that group our current logins together could help the day to day of having to log in and check skills, manage market orders, manage industrial jobs and PI... all on a myriad of accounts and even characters within the account.

It would else help simplify STEALING your accounts. So with convenience comes risks.

I think all very doable but a lot of details to work out.

The only end-game content in EVE Online is the crap that makes you rage quit.

See, now that is EXACTLY what we cannot answer. We are NDA'd from saying what has been discussed. Ask what out opinion is on something is one thing. Asking what CCP has said is whole other kettle of wax. (mixed metaphors ftw)

When considering this sort of idea do you look at it for the time saved for a player vs the ease of programming for a bot set up?

I wish the launcher did in fact do this.

It's entirely doable. /Players/ have done it.

Though their threads are currently locked by the ISD, while we wait on finding out if it's a eula violation or not.
