Still need to beat Civ V on DeityEvil

Some tips:

- Your first priority is to build 6-8 archers, and research Construction so you can upgrade them to Composite Bows. My build order is usually Scout > Monument > Worker > A bunch of Archers. You may build Granary and Library in between depending how close your neighbour Civ is to you, but initially Archers are your biggest priority.

- Steal a Worker from a nearby City State (and then either declare peace, or keep the war declared and try to steal another worker later on, but don't declare war on a CS more than once)

- Don't forget to sell luxuries to other Civs as soon as you can, and while happiness allows, so you can fund Settlers / upgrades / Libraries (for faster NC), etc...

- Forget about building Wonders in Deity in general (aside from a couple of key ones later on). You will conquer them from other Civs later on anyway.

- Don't mind about Religion either: they go fast, other Civs spam missionaries, and eventually you'll get one from another Civ anyway. Do build shrines and temples later if there isn't anything else more important, so you can purchase religious buildings, GE or GS with faith during the late game (GE is particularly useful to rush some important Wonder).

- Once you have research Construction (for Comp. Bows), prioritize and focus on Science / Growth for the rest of the game: that's key to be able to keep up with the science boosts the other Civs get in Deity. Try to build your National College as soon as you can, and later Universities, Observatories, etc...

- With your 6-8 Composite Bows, defeat the initial invasion by your closest neighbour (which in Deity will come pretty soon), and right after that go an conquer his/her capital. From that point on, don't stop: just keep pushing and pushing and pushing forward, puppeting good cities and defeating other Civs, so you can keep up with science and gold (trade post all around puppeted cities), and preventing other Civs from running away and becoming too powerful. A common mistake in Deity is to "turtle up" too much: this will just enable the run-away Civs to achieve a Science Victory before you can do anything to stop them.

DotA 2. People are so angry in that game sometimes that I have to go eat ice cream after some games to not fall into a spiraling depression about the direction humanity is going.
