So you brought a catalyst, arguably the best know gank ship besides the 'nado, and warped in on a bunch of miners, the best know prey of the catayst, right? And you are surprised they warped off? Please go stroke your epeen elsewhere

Tut, tut. I neither said I was surprised, nor that it was about my ego.

I said it was funny(in fact it's hilarious), and a great example of herd animal behavior.

Hopefully the meaning isn't lost on you. I suspect it will be, however.

I'd still love to know what you all plan on doing once the vast, vast majority of the Goonfleet is no longer occupied constantly in Fountain.

The irony was not lost on me.

Then, you saw the part you cut out, right?

The part where I explain that most modern use of the term "safety in numbers" doesn't refer to group warfare, but rather a group of prey animals hoping to not be picked off? You know, the kind of pathetic, easily frightened, run-if-they-see-you bunch of deer?

Like highsec miners.

Seriously, it is really funny to see them scatter when you land a catalyst on grid. It's like turning on the light in a cheap motel bathroom and the bugs all run and hide.

That's interesting because I have seen gate campers and roving gangs run for their stark fear of getting individually killed. Sure, they can overpower a lone ship, but even that the prey might focus fire and take one with him is too much for people engaged in this fear of loss that is equal with a player who sweats at thought of leaving highsec.

O...k? That doesn't have anything to do with it. Hell, I've seen people cut and run because we accidentally fleet warped a cruiser gang half their size onto them at zero, under their guns (best whoops ever.) And I've seen 3 month old new players take fire from a Moros in a PoS bash and not run.

Just denotes a lack of fleet discipline on the part of the guys you mentioned.

The really fascinating interactions come from miners though. They're a breed of amusement singularly unique among players.

So you are comparing miners to a combat fleet and relishing in the results? Son you need to get out more. P

Far from it. I'm not comparing them at all, I distinctly stated that they were separate.

I enjoy both considerably.

But I am saying that you can get a much more controlled and measurable result from miners, since they are more or less always the same situation.

You warp in, they run, they hurl insults in local (even if no one died or was even locked up). The variety of their insults is also truly hilarious, typically with poor grammar and spelling, but they have some inventive stuff to call you.

They can't make their isk while you're there, of course you've done them an injury.

Thrashing them? Are you for real?

I would not call it thrashing when you kill a few frigates and loose a few as well. At your rate your going to kill the same amount isk I did with 1 kill in vfk by end of next year.

Good job.

buddy, like I mentioned already 100 times, I'm fine with that, I'm new in the game, people like Lucas and some others keep telling me the same although they shot their first ship after 4 years in the game, I'm here since 3 month though

in addition to that, I'm doing most of it solo until now, wherelse you went to a puppy alliance early on, looking at your killboard, hope you did feel safe there, can get a bit scary out in null alone you know ...

but again, may question was, what will you do to me? please resist talking about me all the time, you sure have your own exciting personality, no?

Kill something else then a cyno ship for a change and that line there might actually get meaning.
