Bah, girlfriends. Go forth and conquer. Just requires a little total devotion and some meticulous attention to emotional and psychological needs. And a few fine adjustments to the same along the way. Don't worry, she'll let you know when they're needed. Go wid the flow.

Situational awareness, patience, adaptability, and fairly quick reaction time. Piece of cake for an EVE warrior!*

*Do not let this distract you from killing Goons! Big, little and medium ones! Get in there, they're waiting!

Highsec newcomers, a quick briefing if you haven't been following:
-Get in an affordable ship. Fit a cloak if you like. Cloaks are good for extended behind the lines operations, but not essential for more experienced people.
-Set destination for VFK_IV. Check your map for recent pod kills. If you see a glowing camp spot, consider your options. Decide whether to chance it or let them sit there bored. If you don't like the current scene, relax. Run a mission, do your exploration, whatever you're working on. Fit up your stable of reserve ships, take a smoke break, whatever. Come back and check your map again when you're ready. You'll see where some bored campers said, "Err, got to go, bye guys good luck."
-Plot your route. Remember your objective is to get past the highsec-nullsec border systems and get deeper into Goon systems. Any Goon system will work. Get there, throw down your sleeping bag, and plan on living there for awhile. Now you're in the bush and ready to go in any direction.
-Hang out in SpaceJunkys chat channel. Join up with other nature campers for combined shooting. Or tell jokes and post videos. Or just hang out and do your own thing, with your brethren.
-Watch out for lame spais in SpaceJunkys. No need to be paranoid-- you can spot them by the way they don't say anything, or are just all around bad actors. Again, no need to be overly suspicious. We know who's who.
-Pick off locals in Goon space. Say hello in Local first, if you like. They're mostly pretty friendly, some have pretty good b.s.. Send them to their reward in Goonvana, or see if they can manage to catch you and send you to 'Bear Mountain. If they do, suit up and do it again! That's what we do. Smile
-Don't forget to entertain a Goon while you're at it. Damn they're bored.

Last note: Be in VFK before July 28 for the Goons Doomsday shoot-out event. They're looking forward to it at least as much as we are.

Or is it the Fourth Generation Karma righteous asymmetric warfare of attrition paradigm Herzog has been talking about?

you are again very short sighted Joe, what do you think would fly into the direction of the box when I'm finally sitting in my bomber? Cool at the moment I'm just gathering intel on the goblins in goonland...

knowing a lot about their behaviour patterns will be useful as soon as my skilltraining finished... Cool

yea have seen those, I would not engage them in my destroyer, I concentrate more on frigs and hauler...

with the bomber I'm not sure yet, maybe try shooting one from the distance... but I might just stay away from them until I'm sitting in a tengu :)

edit: actually I might even build one of those instacane as well, sounds useful for my mission

who said I make them cloaky with stab?

Cloaky stabbed anything larger than a frigate is going to have a very long lock time on anything smaller than a BS. Double stabs nerf range heinously (at least you can fit for short range) and cloak nerfs lock time.

Running loose numbers on a well-tanked cane and the damage a bomber can do gives me the impression that the cane will survive.

It's no matter though, we have plenty of bombers and Harry will likely have an enviable great time experimenting. Yes, someone else supplies them. I don't know their exact reasons nor who they are, but I suspect they have taken a mild dislike to the goons. The old saying of "ask and you shall receive" works well.

That's the crux of the social and psychological dynamic at work. Bullies often sing a different tune when confronted by someone willing to stand up to them. It challenges their worldview and they don''t have the emotional capacity to understand why someone would question their activities. Cognitive dissonance is a foundational aspect of their ideology, and other types of emergent game play challenge their own narrow social views.

That's why they are bullies.
