Just get 100 accounts. Then you can hit 450m SP in about three months. Problem?

EvE is supposed to suck.  Wait . . . what was the question?

It would be a bit much if you needed anywhere near that to be productive in the game. Since you can be productive hours into the game, having fun doing stuff, it doesn't seem that bad to me.

first of all,you need to understand that nothing lasts forever.lets say you wasted 20 years of paying an account to be active to skill for it and play it in the same time, and suddenly, and no offence ccp or anyone, but as i said before, nothing lasts forever, ccp might go bankrupt, eve goes bye bye.what you gonna do then thinking of all the time you have invested?

What about the time you're wasting now on the forums talking about wasting time in a game?

I think you should sit down and really examine your whole outlook on gaming, forums, life, the universe and everything.

But don't waste too much time doing it. There is probably something else you could be doing.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

At 106 million skillpoints, I struggle to find a skill I give a **** about training at this point. If you feel like you need everything to 5, that's pretty much a personal problem.

The 450m skillpoints are a lie since you don´t ever NEED all skills except for show-off. Your char will only ever sit in a single super, for example and in this case probably never leave it again, so why train for three other racial Titans? In fact, super capital pilots are specifically tailored for that job and more often than not bought and sold at the character bazaar, to my knowledge.

Also, if you ever waste time training ANY char to level V in such wonderful skills like Remote Sensing, it should be taken out and biomassed (out of principle).

it takes roughly 19-20 years,to reach the limit of clone upgrade of 450m skillpoints.and the ammount of skills goes beyond 450m.

so lets say 20 years,to reach skill perfection with a character in eve online.sounds a bit like much?

The number to "max out" a direction is much smaller, I'm 150m+ SP and have about 95% of all combat-related skills at level 5 including specs for every weapon system to 5 and all races and I've wasted tons of SP on stuff like capitals which I never fly anyway! Like 0.15% of my SP is non-pewpew focused, hah.

Relevant.

Also, it's 23,652,000 SP per year max, and if you schmooze enough GMs and devs to get free remaps, it can be done in just under 19 years. And no, 19 years is not too much for something that is completely useless and only done for OCD or to waste time.

It doesn't sound enough. CCP need to add some more skills in to make sure that nobody "maxes out".

Assuming you didn't stop training, if you have no implants and the worst possible remap for the entire year, you'd come out at just 13,402,800 SP at the end of the year.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

I made a skill spreadsheet before the latest patch and calculated a little over 18 years at max SP per hour. Seeing as how the game just hit 10, and no one trains at the max rate all the time, CCP has quite a while yet before it needs to worry about someone with nothing left to train. Not to mention the recent Dest/BC skill split, which added quite a bit more training time to my calculated numbers.

When I get to that point I will probably just pick a category and buy all the books I still need. Then train to the end and go to the next category, and remap. I like to play the long game.

I find it unlikely that people near to top of the SP echelon would have been behind the ball on the skill changes from this expansion. As such, those can pretty much be considered a non-factor for those closest to capping out. Obviously, even those guys still have many years to go though.

If I am still playing Eve in 20 years time, I shall be a very happy 78 year old.

Mind you, it would be tragic to die one day short of maxing all the skills.

This is not a signature.

I have to agree with this. It's more about enjoying the game for the sake of the game.

If you sit there and think "OMG I CAN'T FIRE MY LAZORS UNTIL I GET IT ALL TO LEVEL 5 !!!111!!!!" Then this game isn't for you.

Personally, i swear i suffer from some sort of OCD and i like to see my skills at 5, then go onto the next skill. I have plenty of accounts and i am in no rush. I love the journey that is EvE.

I am extremely happy that there is such a long time to possibly max out your character and I was actually saddened that they made it easier to get into the larger ships in the last patch. But CCP has to cater to the "instant bacon" types as well.

I didn't join this game because it was easy and i hope there never is a MAX, that way there is always something to aim for.

Funny you mention, my actual goal is to have perfect laser skills, but that's a goal with in a goal of being a perfect amarr pilot. T me that is "max" level. After that ll continue on to something else.

OP, gaming is a hobby. Unless you play a game only an hour a week, your enjoying a hobby. If you perceive it as a waste a time it is. Consider your self blessed you live in a society where your not slaving away, and have time for hobbies.

Time wasted well, is time well spent. Rather make the best of it while we still can, as nothing lasts forever. There will be other games like this in the future. Eve is people though, not just pixels. Have your corpmates on a 3rd party channel (Facebook, Skype) before doomsday is my advice! Blink
