I can see I'm getting filthy rich...not.

I'm sure I could get a bit more out of the ore but I just spent ~8 hours mining out a mission total ~take home pay, 44 million isk.

8 hours, spent mining in a covetor fully fitted for yield and mining drones, after reprocess I could sell outright for ~47+

Granted I let cycles run out but had an alt running ore to station so it was very much hands on.

The point, those that say hi sec is getting rich with the push of an easy button needs their diapers changed cause they are beyond full of it.

Average hourly take 5.2 on average, my skills are very good, T-2 strips with T-2 mining crystals, T-1 mining upgrade, T-1 mining drones. No implants.

And missions pay better but not like that's awesome awesome, it's a living wage.

So no, no nerfs should be considered what I get and many others here in hi is not WOW but ok bordering meh for many activities it's just knowledge on where to obtain isk'es that's makes you an above average earner in hi sec.
that and skills.

I'm not even gonna answer any trolls my numbers are as they are, I know cause I'm looking at the dam n thing in my hanger.

When I solo mine in my Mack that's tank fitted with mining upgrades and t2 strippers. I pull an average of 5 mil in I think 30 minutes. Not very much.

Yeah as I said I was running an alt, letting cycles run out, keeping kids in line, and watching a movie (but still jumping back to eve when "the asteroid has been depleted" sounded), had I constantly been fussing and no family no movie I'm sure I could have done better but atleast I stayed awake and didn't fall into coma from all the excitement counting all the big big profits I was getting.

Maybe you should quit mining and find a more rewarding career.

What a waste of two toons. One should mine while you use the other to kill things.

Everytime you read this you are required to send 100 million isk directly to me.

Sometimes I'm not in the "mood" to crawl around eve hi sec scratching for an isk, but I do have things to build so grinding passively is the best I can do.

It adds up when you are:

Highly / fully upgraded for mining
Excellent / perfect refining skills
Refining at station with minimal or no tax
Getting support from mining foreman booster
Don't let your cycle go to waste
Mining the high end ore/ice
Using the ore to produce your own stuff and sell them
etc etc

Profits adds up.

Straight up mining with poor skills/improper fitting etc etc will yield poor isk. Those that say they are getting rich... either have never seen profit bigger than high sec mining or have multiple account with barge / exhumer with orca support.

was there a question here or are you just posting about you realised mining is the lowest isk/hour activity and not as afkable as people think so even the low income isn't even worth how "easy" and "effortless" it is?

Put the hauler all in a second retriever. Watch your profits rise.

Train the hauler alt into Mining Director 5, use the Mining Foreman Mindlink. Watch the profits rise.

Or … buddy up with a perfect orca booster. Build the community.

If mining sucks so much (it does), then just go shoot stuff instead.

When your kids get out of line sit them in front of the computer and make them mine as punishment. They aren't allowed to do anything else until they have filled the hauler 'x' number of times, 'x' to be determined by the severity of their misbehavior.

i like this.

also, if they enjoy this form of punishment, you know it's perfectly fine to sell them to the circus because they're clearly a freak.

I saw job, living wage .... WHAT

Regardless of what you do in Eve it should never be a job. It is a game based around people, fun and relaxation not what it seems you use it for if that is your feedback.
My only suggestion is that if you NEED to get a good ROI from a game, choose one that allows you to sell virtual items for RL money - Eve is not your game.

I am aware of my own ignorance and have checked my emotional quotient - thanks for asking

If you're solo when you have an alt, what would you be if you didn't have that alt?

This has been a problem with EVE for as long as I can remember.

Information portals like the forums are full of claims about the tens of billions to be made doing mundane things and they never really happen.

Be it missions, mining or whatever. The truth is, we gave up the level grind for an ISK grind and there is no easy button. Pretty much everything you read here is smack talk.

Just fly around EVE now and find those yummy higher end ore anomalies. Your profits should go up. Also, get your refine yield and standings up too, makes a difference.

Low risk, low reward. What more can I say?

You could get yourself into a nullsec alliance and mine for very slightly higher risk, high reward if you'd prefer... I have heard (although not confirmed) that WH mining is quite profitable. If your going to mine afk, then your going to get a lower profit, and that's pretty much a given. I am not against afk mining like those idiots from the new order, but profit or afk is a choice you make. You can't get both unless your a bot.

If you must stay in highsec, then find a group with an Orca. Because that makes a massive difference.

I would actually like it if there was some mechanism to reward people who stayed at their keyboard more, like having to manually adjust your mining lazer position for optimal yield on an asteroid (bit like how you scan planets for highest resource density before putting down drills). So that afk miners would earn the same as before, but attentive players could boost their yield a little.

I actually tried this the other day having not mined in many months. I found two in one highsec constellation, both completely empty. Giving up on mining one, I move farther out to another constellation, just out of curiosity. Same thing again. I can't help but feel there is something wrong there, but I don't want to say spawn rates or anything because flushing highsec with high end minerals is a terrible idea.

When I gank miners, I pay close attention to Barges with an industrial ship parked beside it.

It's like a 2 for 1 deal, I can (and have before) gank both Barge and Industrial and snag both PODs.

Please........keep it up!
