I really like Fifth Element and Starship troopers.

Firefly and Star Trek are among my favorites too.

Star Wars is nice but really overrated.

I enjoyed several of the already mentioned, and Dune mostly because it forced me to read the books (and I was amazed) ...

Blade Runner for the whole contained package within it, this scene never tires, and every once in a while I try to remember it as I blow up a LCO in a mission ... Imagining how C-Beams look and the Tannhauser Gate ... such a powerful scene, it still echoes within me.

On other notes

I enjoyed

-Logan´s Run
-The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai across the 8th Dimension
-Time Bandits
-Enemy Mine
-Krull, since its a mix of fantasy and sci-fi
-Hangar 18 , the idea was novel to me and the ending made it
-Flight of the Navigator, fun times
-DARYL
-Flash Gordon before it was cool due to the TED
-Saturn 3 (I still enjoy it today, mostly for the theme)
-Zardoz , my top one, no other movie ever has said "THE PENIS IS EVIL" ever again ...
-Original Andromeda Strain , remake was ok
-All original planet of the Apes
-Original SOLARIS
-The Omega Man (a classic)
-Fantastic Planet (I have linked it before, people need to see this animated french film)
-Demon Seed (first time ever I saw an evil Computer implant a woman with his own "seed" to produce a baby)
-Wizards (Bakshi animated film, a cult classic )
-The Black Hole :)=
-And so many many I can remember as I see my sci fi movie directory in the d: drive

I mean it´s alongside Horror, my fav genre, and I do enjoy the classics over newer versions that just shower you in CGI and pretty faces.
