Request New Ship Type: Sub-Cap Carrier "Light Carrier"

I feel that there is a need for such a ship.

Key Points.

-Hull is battleship sized

-Cheap: Battleship cost roughly. (200million)

-Fast: Battlecruiser speed and agility

-Weak tank, say 50k EHP

-Logistic support bonuses. Say same as a logi cruiser.

-Can deploy 5 fighters? Must not have high DPS so perhaps same drone boat as a domi instead, but fighters would be better.

Most important:

-Has ship maintenance bay! Say 250k m3 or so.


Purpose of this ship. Well other than adding sub-cap variety, the need I see needing to be fulfilled is small gang roams having the ability to replace losses in cruiser hulls and below.

Hence my list of "Light Carrier" attributes to fill that purpose.

Roams are a lot of fun in eve, losing your ship and unable to conveniently re-ship, putting an end to your roam while your corp mates go on without your pod, not so much fun.

Ship would also be a great intermediate step for pilots on their long grind towards a carrier.

not a new idea.
but none of the others were very well liked.

a better one would be like this:

light carrier-
bs sized, no weapons
125 MBit bandwidth
20% bonus to drone damage and hp (like the rorqual)
10% bonus to range and tracking (like the domi)

1k drone bay.
depending on race it could have:
same shield tank of a scorpion (insert caldari carrier here)
same armor tank of a of an abaddon. archon
damage bonus of the thanny (applied to all drones)
or the ability to use armor or shield reps with bonuses like the niddy

this would give it the same dps of a carrier, give a step up if someone wants to persue these into a carrier.
and instead of carriers needed bs 4, they would need light carriers 4.
drop an mjd on it, jump to 100km and snipe anoms all day.
