Its not exactly 'feature abandonment' if CCP never had any intention of providing more content.

no game has what eve does in terms of roleplaying to be honest. One server world? robust backstory? Player actions making real changes?

They HAD intention, just not after WoD got cancelled as this "feature" was a beta for that game.

I play eve because I can not relate to this humanoid thing they had me make and shows in local all the time.

You know, relating to that thing you see when logging in, checking skills, using any and all chats.
Wish i could change it for a spaceship instead of this face.
