Ppl tend to fill them with ****. And CCP (or rather ISD) will just have to spend lots of time moderating the sigs as well.

Ok, it's been pumped up to base 15 by the "kill learnings" patch, and then there's the +5 implant, so it's now at 20, but still...
I wonder how many still-active base-15 charisma chars are there in EVE right now.

That top100 is broken...

A character with 1 win and 0 losses is placed higher than a character with 100 wins and 1 loss.

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

Whoever administers the site needs to take a look at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elo_rating_system
and similar ranking systems to figure out a less stupid way to calculate the top 100.

...more specifically, for instance, this simple way:

Ex is the expected probability that X will win the match. Ea + Eb = 1.
Ea = 1/(1 + 10 ^ ((Rb-Ra) / 400) )
Eb = 1/(1 + 10 ^ ((Ra-Rb) / 400) )

Rx is the rating of X, which changes after every match, according to the formula:
Rx = Rx(old) + 32 * ( W – Ex ) where W=1 if X wins and W=0 if X loses.

Everyone starts with an Rx = 1400.


Should be fairly trivial to implement.

Akita I noticed one of my alts was matched up against someone who was born on the same day in 2003. seemed significant, though I haven't checked others. odd coincidence huh?

Akita, the site was just using the elo system before changing yesterday. It proved to be too easy to manipulate, much like this current system Ugh
