Depends. FW can be better money.

If you're say looking at a deal where you pay TEST several billion to rent a system, then FW is DEFINITELY better money, as you would have spent your rent and be unable to use the system.

You have to sign up to their forums and pay $10. Simple as that really, as long as you pay, they will let you join. Anything else is probably a scam.

You don't pay to join the Goon forums. You do, however, have to pay for the Something Awful forums. And no, forking over the cash alone does not get you in.

Hah, yeah right. As long as you have the cash you will get in. And guess who the money goes too. Do you actually believe that Goons take none of the profits from their sign ups?

Not blaming them it is a good scheme they have, but to pretend they don't benefit at all from the sign ups would be disingenuous.

Oh, I would never say they don't benefit, but I am saying Goons don't get any SA profits. Goonswam benefits from the way Something Awful builds its community, which is why they only accept people who've been active on the SA forums for a while.

Something Awful is unlikely to kick back any money simply because the kind of people who would come from EVE to SA to join an internet spacepixel guild aren't the kind of people they really want. Something Awful doesn't benefit from EVE, EVE is just something Something Awfullers do in their spare time.

Don't let anyone here scam you OP. Make sure to find a recruiter who is actually in Goons. Scooter McCabe is one of the top recruiters in Goonswarm. Contact him and ignore the trolls and scammers.

Just out of interest, is it actually against CCP terms and conditions even if they did kick back some money to Mittani and other goon members. Putting on my layers hat one second, he could claim that he is responsible for managing the website which has nothing directly to do with eve. That is if CCP would have any business asking about external websites anyway. As long as they aren't trading in game items for real money which they wouldn't be then why would this be a problem.

You've answered your own question there. The answer to the other speculation is no. The money from SA registrations is used to pay for the servers that contain our forums & prevent Lowtax from having to actually work. Every pubbie that joins SA to play games with goons just paid for Lowtax's next meal.

3. Join the next recurring newbie drive with a trial account.
4. Roleplay a gentlegoon grunt for another year or so.
5. Smuggle in your old characters, assets, and isk when you are no longer being scrutinized.
6. (Optional) Get roles, fuckgoons, join PL.

I tried going to Goon space to make friends, but they have terrible exploration etiquette so I cleaned up their space, dodged their hilariously bad dictors, and left.
