In the aftermath of the events over Caldari Prime, I stated that I believed Yanala was not a hero.
Her claims at the time were counter to the evidence that has come to light since those events.

I am not too proud to admit that I was wrong in this matter. Admiral Visera Yanala was, and remains, a hero, to both the State and Federation.
Her actions on that day, against the orders she had received, saved the lives of tens of millions. Even piloting her vessel into low orbit served a purpose, as from such a height the ordnance upon her vessel burned up during descent.

I may not fully understand the spiritual beliefs of the Caldari people, but from the little I do understand I offer this simple wish.

"Fly on the winds Visera Yanala, May you find peace."

Question: Are any State capsuleers planning a memorial at all, if the family would allow it? Something like a 21-gun salute or something. If you are, I'd like to be there if possible.

Enough guns have been fired over Home, I think. The peace of a cold wind among the peaks seems more fitting.

I'm actually working on an art piece to commemorate admiral Yanala and the Shiigeru, however. Once the situation with Heth is all over there needs to be a museum or something to record and preserve the history of the last seven years or so, and I thought I'd make something either in anticipation of it, or if need be so that I can set the place up myself.

While understanding the desire to honor individual persons and or actions, I hope when it comes to future museums or monuments that the usual ours and yours issues of the past can be avoided.

Caldari Prime is a divided planet and symbols have meanings.

Safe journey to Yanala in her voyage into what lies beyond, may the stars guide her spirit to her next incarnation.
