i would be happy if they just reduced the cycle timer. i dont care about the rest, its trivial.

if we did ad a 3200mm plate, it would be limited to just 1 plate on a ship period. it would also ad like 3x the weight of the 1600.
i dont think we need this tho.

the ammount repped on the medium is in debate. scalability IS an issue. get a quick balance on that, reduce cycle timer and have it give % more per level trained and i think things will be fine.

The one issue is that doing this will negatively affect cap drain rate. I already find it odd that the repair systems skill can be a double edged sword for those that want to run stable. This is a similar issue to one the reactive armor hardener had with the armor resistance phasing skill. By making the module more effective you make it consume more cap though it is not less efficient since it's still the same hp/cap.

how can reducing the cycle time and cap use equally affect stability?
if it costs 100 cap to use it for 10 seconds, how would making it use 50 cap for 5 seconds or 30 cap for 3 seconds affect things?

also, if i learn how to tweak my system for better efficiency, how could repping a little more change anything?

i was a navy radar tech. our radars were only good for xx miles. our techs were so efficient, we had them able to track about 40% farther than "nominal" at the same power consumption. we tweaked the sensitivity.

so, i gain a new system and i read the manual (rank 1-2), i take an advanced class (rank 3-4), i study online how to hack into the software and make the damn thing work like a beast (rank 5).
no more power consumption, just using said power efficiently.

Agreed. Armor rep cycles are fine for PvE but useless for PvP. It's why buffer tank, remote repair is the Armor fleet doctrine.
