Best of luck with the server issues. We would much rather experience controlled downtime that erratic uptime.

Thank you.

The Tranquility cluster is currently experiencing several network issues that began at approximately 01:00 UTC on Wednesday June 12th, 2013.

Our engineers are currently working on resolving these issues, however we may need to reboot Tranquility in order to finalize this process.

Please keep an eye on this thread for further updates regarding the current issues.

UPDATE - 02:08 UTC - We are currently working on restoring full connectivity to Tranquility.

you guys understand that DDoS or distributed denial of service attack...is actually a small virus on a client computer that starts pinging an ip right? so what next ccp, are you going to recommend that we all format our hardrives? or resolve the damn problem and patch all the holes. We keep having these downtimes, and I pay you guys pretty good money monthly to have the service up and running 24/7 ...i play eve, its all i do, several accounts a few 100's of dollars here and there. See now 50 thousand skill points for downtime is unacceptable...I just jumped into a star that was a disconnected cluster with lots of shinies, should I lose that will you reimburse me? or would you send me the "normal game mechanics" auto-mail? please get your act together. Its getting out of hand. Take control or stop tranquility until you have solved every issue there is and could ever be, like playstation did when they got hacked to ****. You have claimed3 times on the past three patches that you have fixed the black screen when undocking issue, as of right now that's not the case. It is still happening randomly mostly on gates now, so, once again get your act together people. Every minute I don't spend in eve am spending on the net with the possibility of finding another game that takes my interest. Attention

If people would use Anti-virus software (mainly guilt ware) and hardware firewalls, it would make CCP's job a little easier.

my support ticket to CCP
I was playing duel client, went to log in to the api site on eve-online, timed out when i hit the api link, tried 3 times, i go and type something into right client and message is sent, go to type something else and message wont leave. i suspect socket error so i hit alt crtl Q to exit out, at the same time i look over at the left client in time to see "The specified proxy or server node (909862) is dead". wtf?? ok, i close that client, reload right client and don't have any place on my launcher to enter login, its just a blank spot. after restarting launcher 4 times i get a login, enter game and i see my ship but no UI of any kind. log out, log in, same thing. ok lets take a break and grab that api key i need, i try and go to http://community.eveonline.com/support/api-key/ and end up being routed to https://community.eveonline.com/. i try this 5 or 6 times before i toss my mouse at the wall, walk over put mouse back together and grab a beer on way back to desk, restart right client, able to log in and UI loads. Go back to web page, i see i'm logged in under the main https://community.eveonline.com/ but when i use the drop down to go to the support page i load that and i'm not anymore, click the api management link, guess what, i'm logged in again......

you guys are going to own me a case of beer after tonight! heres my address,

I'm staring at the problem as hard as I can.

Edit: Nope, couldn't intimidate it into fixing itself.

I'm new to this game, is this constant server trouble common? I don't want to pay for this game if this is going to keep happening so frequently...

As long as they keep compensating for all our subscribed days we lose with 50,000sp no problem. But seriously all these issues are really getting quite ridiculous. Its not like you've made enemies with anonymous.

...Let me just point to the most GLARING flaw here: Take control or stop tranquility until you have solved every issue there is and could ever be, like playstation did when they got hacked to ****.

One, sony has not fixed it so "this can never happen again". Because hacking happens. You take what measures you can, and pray you can handle what some jerk comes up with next time.

Likewise, you complain about a 20 minute down time ....while suggesting they take the server offline until they have " solved every issue there is and could ever be"?

Why not say "I can't stand waiting 20 minutes, just shut down the game!"? Cause thats pretty much what you are demanding.....
