So wait... Does this mean all the annoying "420" names will become citizian xxxxxxx?

Hmmmm.... Not sure if this is a curse or a blessing.

How would that mislead a player though?

White boxes and red crosses are different, Im told

"Yea, some dude came in and was normal for first couple months, so I gave him director." - Sean Dunaway

"A singular character could be hired to penetrate another corps space... using gorilla like tactics..." - Chane Morgann

Oh noes! My aspirations of creating a forum alt named: "The Shitestaini" have been dashed!

Curses CCP, you win this round.

If yes: Yes.
If no: No.

Simple as that.

2c of the policy has no bearing here?

Nerfing High-sec is never the answer. It is the question. The answer is 'YES'.

CCP ban yourself! You're discriminating!

Quote:
I doubt CCP would enforce ship naming policy, it is common practice in null to use names that are deceptive to enemy d-scans. They probably have it as a protective clause in case someone in high-sec, for example, names their ship CCP Soundwave's Rifter or Federation Navy Commander and is doing something offensive or fishy in local under such a guise. That's my take on it, anyway.

Right, because if they're not going to do so, it's always a good idea to make up rules for things you're not going to do. Now, the reality is selective enforcement. That's why we have laws and rules. Some are absolute. Others are not. But in all cases, rules are made to be applied. It's just a matter of whether you're a friend of CCP's or not.

Many many rules and laws in the world exist solely to shackle those that aren't friends to the people who made the rules and laws in the first place.

Don't ban me, bro!

There is no player named "Romona McCandless" as far as I can see, so why should it?

Exactly

As I mentioned though, may be she's one of my illegitimate siblings

Ole Ma'Baker McCandless used to put it around

"Yea, some dude came in and was normal for first couple months, so I gave him director." - Sean Dunaway

"A singular character could be hired to penetrate another corps space... using gorilla like tactics..." - Chane Morgann

It seems that i am purposefully impersonating or parodying an in-game item (Planet): Amarr IV (Tamiroth), which is also Not Available to the General Public.

I beg CCP to let me Continue With This Sort Of Thing.

Otherwise, i fully endorse this idea.

Then 2c applies of course. But I fail to see what this has to do with today's policy change.

ITT people fail to understand the difference between "player" and "character".

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

Just answer the question, please.

Is (Planet): Amarr IV (Tamiroth) one of:

Quote:

employee or representative of EVE Online, CCP, Customer Support personnel or volunteers.
NPC type from the EVE game world (i.e. CONCORD or other official NPC corporation or organization members)

If your answer is no, then why do think you should be forbidden to name it so?
