Gnosis - pay for boost?

Why is there a ship out there that is completely out of all design line? 1 day old can fly it with with full ship bonuses to drones, weapons and probing.

Is this a ploy to keep new character and account numbers rising? Power of two had a ridiculous effect on the sales numbers, making eve look like a rapidly growing game. Will every paying newbie get a bonus gnosis later on? Greed is good, but don't let it kill the purity of the economic warfare and the sandbox.

wutlol?

1.) You still need the skills to use the modules/drones/whatever

2.) they are getting pricey because they were limited run... not really noob friendly.

Because it's a 10-year anniversary ship that cannot be reproduced through in-game means, and is meant as a celebration of the game and its players.

I think you are serious.

What day old account is going to even have a full flight of drones to undock and be able to fit it to be anything but a lossmail?

Just because there are a lot of shiny bonuses on the hull does not mean that the ship is magical and grants untrained skills.

Don't we still have BPCs coming with the Special Edition? Even then, it's still going to remain a limited issue item.

Also, OP, a day one noob won't enjoy nearly as much versatility as someone who actually has some SP to back up the Gnosis' built in role bonuses.

I wonder how many newbs quit because their precious Gnosis popped in the very first lvl 3 mission they tried.

Its Jovian and a present

Yup, and a LOT of 1 day olds can die screaming in their Jovian coffins too.

No but godforbid a company might try and build their user base. You're right, its just sick that they would want fresh blood. (Mmmmmmmm fresh blood)

1) And.... so? 2) No. Why on earth would they?

Please explain how it will in no less that 1000 characters.

Can I have your Gnosis?

I do believe it's not an accident we all got a Gnosis very close to the expansion. It's a quite decent exploration (battle)cruiser that allows every player to go out and explore with pretty good bonuses, without being a dedicated explorer already. It just so happens that Odyssey is about exploration.

Quite lucky you would have a free exploration ship waiting in your hangar then, ready to go with all the preset bonuses, no? :o

Yes. Every new player is going to receive limitless gnosis, in fact, so they have a good strong do-anything ship to fly while they train up their skills.

It wasn't going to be this way, but they decided to do so just now, out of spite, in response to your shiptoasting.

Seriously though, did you wake up this morning and think to yourself, "Self, what completely idiotic non-issue can I whine about today?"

Well, i'm a complete noob and i took mine out and quickly realized i had no business being in one, and quite frankly was pretty useless in my hands. So i sold it so i have some spending cash. lol.

Not only that i don't find it a very attractive ship. Maybe that's just me tho.

It's always struck me as ironic that the guys who present themselves as so macho and hardcore, always telling people to "HTFU" or, "Adapt or Die", are the ones who are most resistant to any change in the game. Seems they also hate the fact that CCP is a business that wants to attract new players in order to grow their bottom line.

The most hilarious thing is when they lay the blame for everything at the feet of "new players who have it too easy". What a bunch of crotchety, whiny bittervets.

Follow your own advice all you change averse types; "HTFU".

The Gnosis is either a profit or loss for any new player. i sold mine and got cruisers instead.
I've seen many flown die and I prefer being able to buy new ships if I get popped.

There are only three things worth nothing in Eve; ISK; Skill Points and Getting Blown up. Once you learn this, the universe truly sets you free.

It is completely limited. It's not like they will be able to stock these things. Once they are destroyed, after the BPO are used, that's them all gone.
