i might be wrong so correct me, but as far as FW comes i always gathered that its mostly low SP alts... are there many people who play with there mains, higher SP players?

Also, can a new corp join any faction or do you have to have certain standings in order to join said faction?

...Who told you that?

No one specifically, a few corps i been in a lot of people had alts in FW... maybe that was for farming isk? i dont know lol.

The AFK plexers are definitely low SP alts, but I know plenty of high SP toons (including myself) that main FW.

Spinning around a button half-afk doesn't allot enough time?

TBH it probably would but that is so bloody boring I'd just end up switching off an firing up screamer 4x4 Big smile

I tried to do the FW plex farming thing....But man is it mind numbing!!! So I just end up leroying into the nearest potential targets just for something to do!

Amarr and Caldari are currently "suffering" from having high enough tier to be flooded by farming alts. So on a careful though, do join Caldari militia, we can always use more people actually willing to fight.

We're having high enough tier?

...

whatever. Most of your systems are vulnerable so no LP there, the rest is kind of well defended. So actually, Caldari is good for the pew, bad for the jew.

Ooooh, a lot of systems only highly contested now! ...

Off i go :)

Do all factions have decent markets, if not what faction will have a good market around that wont leave you having trouble fitting ships?

Thanks.

The pirate faction.

This. For the very small scale pvp you suggest, in fw space, you don't want to be blue to 1/3 of the population.

Also you will have access to all the low sec markets because you won't be locked out.

But if you want isk then join faction war.

Make faction war occupancy pvp instead of pve https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=53815&#post53815

Pirate faction. Your local pirate corp is a great place to start. Pirates tend to fly small hulls that newbs can train for very quickly, and even low SP pilots are immediately useful. Newbs are almost always welcome in pirate corps. Pirates, being all about PvP, are actually numbers geeks in the extreme and love to play professor for new guys.
I loved piracy when I was doing it, and TBH, most PvP is functionally the same but with some backstory to legitimize it.

Nothing wrong with RvB or FW or E-Uni. But piracy offers all that without the feeling that Eve is a job. Plus, if you play a pirate without resorting to alts- it really gives the game depth as you deal with a dropping security status.

Damp condors and hookbills are everywhere home boy, get used to being kited at 30km and slowly dying to cowards.

My opinion is that the Gallente/Caldari theater offers slightly better small gang combat, so I would pick either Caldari or Gallente (or pick Amarr or Minmatar and live in Caldari/Gallente warzone).

If you like frigs and dessies. Caldari.

You don't seem to have a lot of optimism for any Caldari organization to do consistent organized cruiser or BC gangs.

To clarify what Dean means for FW beginners:

If the Caldari bring Frigates and Dessys, the Gallente will NEED to bring cruisers and BCs before they fight.

Personally I would say Amarr, but I am bias. I have not been in long but I am proud to say that there is atleast 1 fleet going a night with my alliance and we are never short of things to shoot at. I'll grant you we mostly run in the NZAU time zone so I'm not 100% on other time zones.

you have more targets as amarr militia because minmatar like to blue with local pirates.
