T2 fit T3s are just fine for C3s. You can solo any site other than the hardest Mag/Radar (relic / data) sites without warping out and you can handle at least the Database if you don't mind warping out a couple of times. DS/Faction is just candy and speed after that.

They also have pretty good mass so collapsing a WH is less of an issue and they cost less too.

PS, totally off topic, Cloaky Proteus suck balls , got jumped by one in a C2 and I only had to turn on 1 rep to tank him. Too bad I did not have a scram as I got him down to 20% armour before he warped off.

Mind your words. A cloaky proteus can have probably the highest DPS of any covert ship out there. That being said it will still be hard pressed to break the tank of a decent site running tengu solo, especially since it is shooting against one of the highest resists the tengu will have.

Now a cloaky Proteus plus cloaky neut legion would be a different story.

I personally think that Cloaky T3s in general have bad DPS, pretty much just Null sec travel ships and surprise tackle. Still I almost crapped myself when it uncloaked and MWDed (I am always hearing that they are so great with good DPS) over to me and to just fight it off with ease.

If only I had turned off some of my guns and let my tank drop a bit more my friend with a SB might have gotten into the WH before he left.

I dunno, my Cloaky proteus can push 620 DPS before heat (714 OH) while still sporting 104k EHP. I wouldn't call that too shabby for a cloaky cruiser, as it comes close to the DPS of many non-cloaky ships. Regardless it is far too little to take on a well fit Tengu solo, unless you can neut it out.

Cloaky t3 as the primary tackler supported by a Pilgrim tends to be pretty devastating.

Again, I must sing praise to Pilgrim, the one hull that can deliver cloaky movement, neut, TD, ECM and DPS all in the same package. If they go trough with the TD affects missiles change, I am going to be overjoyed since Pilgrim will then trump everything ever... except there being more than one enemy that is.
