Spitting tacks over Closed Jita

Jita and I have a love-hate relationship. I can tolerate the spammers (ignoring comes naturally to me) and I deal with undocking like everyone else (you wouldn't want any realism in station management, would you?)...

But Jita has been "closed" for most of the day for the past while... and this is starting to really hurt business.

Please fix.

To me it seems like it is a self-regulating problem.
It is closed for access due to too many users (So it reaches pop-limit).

What problem is there to fix, and what fix is supposed to help?

Well... I suppose you have to start with the idea that a master trade hub is good for eve. Maybe you don't, tho. The problem isn't really self-limiting. Jita is enough of a draw that 300 to 700 ships bung up each of the 1 jump systems from jita. Like some others have speculated, it won't be long until the cluster fubar reaches several systems out.

As some point, I suppose, an alternate trade hub might establish itself, but I'm not sure this is a good thing and neither does it solve things --- it only moves them.

Sigh.
