I always vote for you, Claudia, and Alyxandria although seeing how a few of my avatars are floating around the 60% with the others only doing a bit better one might assume that my votes are only a small part of this reboot. It is really odd though that this is the reboot where my characters are all only a handful of votes apart from each other with Celeste at the bottom. One would assume that my smaller participation in voting would result in a larger spread in my character rankings instead of them all being ranked so close together.


Well, I checked my girls and everyone, included top 12, have been voted 67/68 times, which multiplied by more than 3,000 possible pairings per round, is a lot of clicking... so far I barely have come across anyone known.

I don't know if you're taking suggestions/requests, but I would come back to the site a lot more often if we could see who a given character has 'beaten' and - more importantly - been 'beaten' by in individual pairings.

I find myself losing interest in the site because I look at some of the high performers and, even attempting to compensate for obvious bias, cannot reconcile that they should outperform my (or many other) characters.

Were one able to peruse match results, evidence of either A; honest superiority in pairings received, or B; obvious vote fixing, would become apparent. I'd be very interested in either or both, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one.

This also seems like it would have beneficial effects as far as data collection for your project is concerned: What if 'certain people' are only being paired against uggos, or the same folks over and over? Such a feature would reveal this tendency. Alternatively, it would provide closure for bitter people like myself - who are unable to cope with their lousy score - when we realize we're losing to Large Collidable Object instead of, you know, attractive avatars.

Thank you for your feedback. I am listening to people's feedback and feature requests. Displaying a history of voting is something I have already planned to add, but doing so requires a significant change in the underlying model schema.

At the moment I am working on adding a "Browse" page where you could browse all 6000+ avatars using an infinite scroll.

And lastly, vote fixing doesn't happen, not anymore. It's unlikely from 3000 characters of the same gender you will be matched with the same character twice in a row.

Houm...

- i only see the first 16 characters without scrolling (1950 x 1050 screen)
- the 30 new characters are added to the bottom of the previous 30, so the page displays 30/60/90/120 characters... that could rapidly go out of control and make scrolling even worst

Maybe could use a 6 x 4 matrix (24 chars), don't make it vertical scroll, and substitute with different characters rather than add them to the already being shown?

If you clicked the button at least 7 times, or after 210 characters, it will clear itself and start over with just the 30 new characters.

Edit: If people are experiencing noticeable lag I could reduce that number to ~120-150 characters. I have tested it here on my laptop and my iPhone, no issues so far.

I like fiddling with the character creator, but I've noticed the ones I make will be on top for maybe a day or two after a reset and then fall off. There's one that looks almost the same as mine but with more votes, hah Big smile

I think there should be a separate top ten row for males and females, for several, mostly obious reasons.
A category called something like a "freak of nature" or maybe also "gender bender" wouldn't be all that bad either, considering there is a good number of people who are gifted at purposedly creating non-standard, hilariously silly looking avatars.
Voting history showing the last 10-20 pairings and their results for each character wouldn't hurt either.

I haven't looked at the site ever since the incident when people were abusing the voting system. It looks like everything has been fixed. The site is way faster now. Very nice.

Yeah, I tend not to spend time on voting for this same reason. It's mainly nice to see what people have done with the character creator. It's definitely the best one around.

Nah not really. But back in 2011, during the summer of rage, players who shared CCPs view on things bought the ridiculously expensive monocle as a identifying symbol. And mocked the protesters on the forums wearing them on their avatars.

Players havent forgotten that.

Makes me want to try it myself. But I'll be notoriously picky and... argh. Hmmm. Still, could be interesting to try.

Not yet, but I will add it in the upcoming update.
