There's an awful lot of confusion about what the Agility attribute means, and in different contexts. I'm not sure if the PYFA program that is generating these changelog scripts is inverting it so that higher = better, or if there was just some internal confusion in CCP. What I do know is that in EVE, the attribute is called "Inertia Modifier," and the lower it is the more agile the ship behaves. (For instance, Nanofiber Internal Structure and Inertia Stabilizer both reduce this attribute by a percentage.)

We don't really know what's going on with these numbers right now, or what exactly they mean when they come out of this script, but CCP has announced their intention to increase the maneuverability of these ships.

Certainly the Naga was hit hard. As one of my corp mates of African descent put it, "Why they gotta take everything from the Naga?"

I don't know what it's like now, but it really seemed to need that extra slot to stand on an even footing with the other races' equivalent ships (when I played with the ships in the test-data build of PYFA).

Well, hopefully they at least give it back the double bonuses before final release.
since the torp bonuses doesn't make it a better hybrid boat and the hybrid bonuses a better torp boat I don't see why it couldn't have more bonuses than the other ships.

Yes. Sure, the Typhoon only gets one bonus per weapon system, but the Typhoon is wonderfully powerful all on its own with those heavy drones hitting for you as well...

As it is the Naga is the only ship which simply does worse damage than its battleship cousins, in that it's basically the same but it has worse ammunition efficiency in the case of the torpedo version.

I don't buy that. So you're saying the Atron with a 2.92 inertia modifier is less agile than the Megathron with 0.128 inertia... cause lower is better?

Please stop posting about things you clearly have no idea about... CCP has stated officially that it IS an agility buff, not a nerf. The original changes to the IM on the first sisi dump were a mistake and have been corrected.

Which is what leads me to believe the Agility attribute produced by the PYFA changelog script is a composite of Mass and Inertia Modifier... larger is better.

which means even the developers sometimes confuse how these values work.

I have this feeling people are expecting too much frrom the upcoming winter expansion
Don't get me wrong i am excited about alot of the new things to come and about several of the improvements
But if you go over the comments what people wrote each time CCP changes data trying to balance the new tier3 BC by example
Already alot of people whinning about the hybrid buff just because they expected a new ' superpawniwin' weapon instead they got a moderate buff and a good buff in t2 ammo

Same will be with these new BC s, you can even bet on it that several people are going to complain they not good for mission running

So while i approve of this thread i will wait for when the definite build is ready and being tested on SISI

Speculating and making wild guesses is never good for morale

Also muchos kudos to the OP for creating this thread and trying to keep us all updated

I do not agree with what you are saying , but i will defend to the death your right to say it...... Voltaire

Assault frigates changes will not be in the Winter Expansion but may be delivered afterwards.

When CCP say "Winter Release" the amount of vagueness inherent in that particular choice of temporal locus, strikes me as being rather generous.

Winter where I am lasts until may. June sometimes.

So Just to clear things up a little - winter 2011 or early 2012?

They have stated that the winter expansion will be coming "well before Christmas".

Expect it in the next 4-6 weeks.

I'm not sure if anyone noticed it (searching through forums seems to a bit weird), but I have noticed on the current sisi build a dps meter in fitting window with a new category Offence (it counts weapon dps, drone dps, full dps with everything), can't make a screenshot because sisi is currently down, but is this something new? :)

That is indeed new. I'll take a look at it next time I'm on.
